surprisingly good foundation brush for the price. my go to for years was bobbi brown full coverage brush but ive been on a rx retinoid which makes my skin a bit flaky and that brush kind of unintentionally exfoliates as i apply foundation. i wanted to try a flat brush but with a larger width instead of the usual smaller ones. gave this a try and i love it. no streaks, foundation applies quickly because of the large size, (and for me) the flat brush paints and glides the foundation on which doesnt make my face flaky. the bristles are soft but they are firm, no shedding, the ferrule has not become loose, handle length is not too long for me. i prefer short handles for personal use. longer ones are better for applying on someone else. im going to buy a 2nd brush as a backup. ... show more

I’ve been on a search for the perfect foundation brush for years, and I will continue that search after trying this brush. I’ve tried the most expensive, down to the cheapest, this one included. This brush has fibers that are VERY stiff and coarse, and not in a good way. It doesn’t soak up product, but it also doesn’t apply it in a way that it’s the only applicator you’ll need. It’ll apply product quickly, but forget blending. Still need a sponge or another softer brush to distribute and blend properly. I feel like it was a waste of money, but I’m also looking for a one-stop brush. If you need a brush to just whack your foundation on quick and you don’t mind needing more complexion tools to finish it, this works, but your fingers (or a dollar store paint brush) can do the same. I can’t really explain how the fibers feel except straw broom-like. It hurts and leaves visible marks if you try to blend with it, and it just moves product around in a streaky fashion. It straight up HURTS. I tried many methods with it to give it a fair shot, and all I managed to do was take off a layer of skin. It would be much better if the fibers weren’t so coarse and stiff, the construction of it is pretty sound, but the fibers are a huge miss. Might use this for painting or scrubbing pots, but never again on my face. I wish I had pics of the marks it left, but I was more concerned with the irritation and pain it caused at the time. It will exfoliate the heck out of your skin for sure, but I mean that in jest; this is a HARD pass for foundation/facial use (for me personally). Scrubbing your face with as much vigor as you would scrub a crusty casserole dish is not good for your skin, and I believe I could clean cooking vessels with this effectively (I mean that in all seriousness). I would include a video, but I don’t want to lose another layer of skin to this brush. Proceed with EXTREME caution. ... show more
