I have 9 of these as of now. Very easy to use. You still need to level manually, which takes some getting use to if you are not use to 3D printing. Doesn't take long to learn. You can not print from a folder, which caused some confusion as the sample files are in folders and I could not get them to print. Tech support helped me figure that out. They have been very good about getting back to me on a few issues. Out of the nine I have two suspect cooling fans that might need to be replaced and one filament run out sensor that may need to be swapped out as well. Overall great printers that are easy to use. They do use Flashprint 5 as a slicer. Would have been nice to be able to run the older versions on it, but not a deal breaker. All that said, 3d printers are not magic and you still need to understand how they work and what certain settings do to make any of them work well. I plan on getting more in the future. ... show more

Really enjoy my Flash Forge Finder 3. Surprisingly easy to set-up and very good instructions to do so. Glad that I chose a pre built model, that way I could get right to work.🤩 The print quality is very impressive and clean. The Finder 3 is quiet and runs smooth. This is a definite recommendation for beginners, or hobbyist. I would say you do get your bang for your buck. 😊Mine is running now. Just Lovin' it... By the way, get plenty of filament... I have 11 3d printers, a 3d printing business, and have repaired them professionally. Almost all of mine are flashforge and I would consider myself advanced to expert when it comes to 3d printing. That being said, I have never been more let down by a machine than this one. Flashforge has really fallen apart, pushing bad firmware updates, which bricked the machine. I finally got the machine nursed back to life, and then the wifi stopped working, it'll work for 20 minutes, then stop. If you go to disconnect/reconnect it'll throw a message saying youre already connected and stop. Print quality is atrocious, I suspect that the default print parameters have bad retraction settings, but I dont want to spend the hours trying to dial that in. Every other flashforge printer I"ve had just works. If I want to tinker, I'll buy a few more ender 3's. If you're a novice, prepare to be frustrated. Moving onto levelling. Its this hybrid system. You level the back of the plate using a levelling card and calibrate the height using the z axis and up/dn arrows. Then, you move to the front where its the legacy screw-type levelling screws. So you get the nusiance of one, with the lack of rigidity of the other. Its the worst of both worlds. Whats worse is if you look at the top of the extruder board, you'll see there's a connector for a BLTouch automatic levelling probe, so the hardware is there. They built this thing with the capability for true auto levelling and just abandoned it. Compared to the finder 2, there is no auto-off when finished printing, and the fan is loud. Mine actually died but it was far easier to replace a $4 fan on my own than spend 3 days deciphering poorly translated chinese for them to offer to charge me to ship a part from china. This is not the beginners, print-out-of-the-box machine the finder 2's were. If you want something that just works, look at a more mature product like the adventurer 3. I'll probably get this thing all fixed up and working, and then sell it off. Its been such a pain. ... show more

This is the second one I purchased. The first was returned because it didn't connect to the internet, the second was returned because the bed would not level and pieces to adjust were stripped and there were no replacement parts. I had nothing but issues with amazon trying to exchange these items for undamaged and working items. They lost my return, Gabe the wrong labels and tracking for my item, and then rather than exchanging a faulty and defective item, I had to wait up to 30 days on both occasions to get my refund. Because this quality was not what I expected twice, I cannot recommend this item. Customer service and tech support are non existent from flashforge and Amazon doesn't care about support or exchange or assistance; so this was just a terrible purchase. I will purchase my next 3D printer anywhere but Amazon and any model not Flashforge. Do not waste your time on this printer. ... show more

Once set up, instructions say to download updated software via wifi, which I did. The screen then locked up on the loading screen (search for this problem and it seems to be VERY common). I looked for the tech support number and there is NOT one - hard to imagine but true. I had to describe the problem and wait a day foe the “solution”. I am tech savvy and followed instructions (format their usb drive, download firmware onto computer, then transfer to usb. With 3D printer off, insert usb drive and then turn on printer. This should solve problem. It did not, so I sent another email. They then wanted to the do it all again and video the whole process and submit to them. I will not and will return via Amazon today. Awful experience and worst support for my son’s main Christmas present. Imagine dealing with flashforge “tech support” for this or any other issue that come up. Hard to believe they are this inept at customer support. Yes, I am beyond frustrated and had to return before getting angry. ... show more

I like the machine. It has had problems since it came out of the box. Now I had a hit end leak. Which they sent new part. But old part won’t detach from the unit. It’s built into the plastic. No directions come with any parts. I just want to return the machine at this point.
