I picked these up because I needed a couple of deep shelves to mount 16 inches or so above my workbench. I'm using these for a few bigger (deeper) pieces of equipment that I use often but need to raise up and thus, create some much needed room for larger projects and just general elbow room. These shelves are reasonably sturdy, though the shelves themselves are made from lightweight material and don't exactly exude confidence for holding anything heavy. I wouldn't expect to hold more than 10, 12 lbs tops. This is perfectly fine for my purpose. The brackets are of reasonable sturdiness and are quite easy to install. A feature that I've personally not seen before but is genius: the top wall-mounting hole of the brackets on either side are keyholed, allowing you to quickly put the screws in place and not have to hold the shelf with one hand. After this, simply screw the bottom screw in and you're done! I wouldn't hesitate to get these again and I may pick up some more just in case. I've been searching for a shelf to hold a projector on a bedroom wall. These fit the bill perfect. I've only used one, but it is sturdy and was easy to hang (says my husband). For a pop of color, I spray painted the brackets bright blue prior to hanging, and it now blends in perfectly with my beachy decor. The subtle wood grain of the actual shelves is a nice touch making these look a little more elegant and less industrial. Finally, a floating shelf with room! Most of these are at best 6 inches wide. That’s only enough space to make you mad. Plus, most shelves have a restraining bar which means no overhang of items slightly over 6 inches. These have two mounting options. The do install with mollies but I prefer to hit a wall stud with one of the mounting brackets. The finish is very sleek and of high quality. Nothing negative to report. ... show more
