This is a good assortment of gold and silver head pins with lots of flat head and looped ended pins, but not so many of the ball head pins. The box arrived with all of the pins mixed up, so it’s always a fun adventure trying to find two matching ones. A few were bent but not too bad. They are sturdy enough for jewelry making however, if you bend them, some of them begin to flake and lost their coating of silver or gold revealing what looks like copper underneath. So, not solid metal. They mostly do the job quite well despite these small irritations!

This is a great buy but be prepared to do a lot of”hunting and pecking “!! When I opened the pkg all the pins are mixed up!!! I think the pkg/ box they are in does not close down well thus allowing the pins to cross the separated boxes! BUT I find that the pins are easy to cut and shape into whatever I need them for. The colors are bright and shinny. Not to heavy for my working with in comfort! A great value for the money. I’ll have to wait and let you know about the durability!! I just wish my 76yr old hands could separate them out again the way the manufacturer meant them to be!! It would definitely make my job easier!! I would suggest the manufacturer put a thin layer of sheet foam in the pkg to make the more tangle resistant and easier to use. I have read a lot of reviews about seed beads that were pkg the same way. I had to stop buying my seed beads in those pkg even though they were a much better buy it was not worth the Irritation of trying to separate them.

Product arrived a jumbled, unsorted, horribly bent mess that I had to sort out before I could use it. I took the time to count the pieces because I had to manually sort and the counts were short of what the listing photo says. This product isn’t usable out of the box and I’m already 4 hours into making it usable. Every single pin in the box is bent with the exception of the shortest size. The price is good but not worth the time you will spend sorting out pieces.
