Love this little set. It's exactly what you need to get started with beading. It comes with loads of wide eye needles in different sizes, which allows you to see which length needle you like best. You can also use different sizes for different projects. Not to mention the threading needles. The yard scissors are very handy for making small cuts to the beading string. The needles are convenient when making projects with beads. It is the easiest way to connect a bracelet or necklace. The needles allow me to tie the ends of elastic string together. The open needle is a nice invention.

    • At this price you can't expect the best but...
Ok, it's a great price for what you get and beading needles are always a little delicate but... First let me say that I am working with 8mm gemstones and the hole is approximately 1mm. The cord I use is about 0.8mm and sometimes needs to be doubled inside a single bead or spacer and so on. The threader broke on first use with just one pass of the cord... One of the eyes of the long straight beading thread needle broke when passing a second string through a 1.2mm hole (silver tube). As for elasticity, if you try to bend a big eye like in the photo, it will stay that way. However this has happened with every beading needle I have tried. Honestly, they don't feel sturdy enough for what they're supposed to be used. I will update in the future when I know how long the entire box lasts. At this moment I give 3 stars for the steel box and the scissors included. ... show more

I was surely surprised when I got this package. These needles are great! I love the various sizes that came with it. It was enough to get me hooked on big eye needles. They hold the thread or fireline etc with ease and doesn’t come out of the needle. Love that! The extras that came with was a happy surprise. I was not impressed with the big tubing that they came in or the silver container they come it as it is hard for me to open. I love the fact that there were so many different sizes in one package!
