Amazing shoe at the $90 price point I got it at. Fantastic combination of protection and grip coming from a RC Powerline that is super protective but not as breathable or flexible. This Five Ten is a perfect combination of both. That upper sock sleeve is not only comfortable but it also keeps dirt and grime from entering the shoe during a ride. As an added bonus I found that the grip and protection that this shoe provides make it the perfect Onewheel shoe also. Sticks to my board like glue for that locked in feeling. The fit on the shoes is fine and the soles are great with my Chester Race Face pedals. The stock laces though are way too narrow. Actually feel like they are cutting the tops of your feet. I replaced them with bungee laces that give a little while still being tight when needed. If I hadn't found those, I'd have used 550 paracord like my other mountain bike shoes. There is no reason 510 had to use such crappy laces. The thinner laces also do not want to stay tied and there's no elastic or bungee to tuck them under. Some minor but important design issues. Made the sacrifice and order these because no other mtb shoe have wide options. Order a size up but still narrow for my wise ass feet. Put about 70miles on them and was hoping they would stretch out by now but still tight. Im just toughing it out for now until a shoe company makes wide oprions.

These are perfect for amateur trail or endurance mountain biking! Comfortable, grip perfectly and slightly mid to keep elements out.
