I use a 55 gallon drum to store diesel for my tractor and side by side for use at my farm. Lifting and transporting the drum was quite a chore. This chain apparatus makes it very fast and easy. It is very secure and just brilliant to use. Using my tractor to place the drum on and off the trailer to refill and replace it into my barn is a breeze now! Much easier and safer so I recommend this item without reservation.

This tool is great for hoisting and lifting engine parts while working on vehicles. It is durable and easy to use.

After struggling to get drums moved with hand trucks or rolled into pallets to move, this tool is a great addition to my forklifts tool kit. It slides right into the fork and the set screw holds it there well. The clamps take a few uses to figure out how to set them best, they seem to like to be left just less than all the way down when applying the lifting force. They pull themselves down and get tight as soon as the chains take up the slack. Once they grab they have a very solid connection that holds the drums well even over rough ground outside. With some of my drums that don't have tops I made a simple spreader bar that goes between the chains just above the drums rim, so I can lift up open top drums full of machine shop chips and sawdust from the dust collector.

How's that for an attention-grabbing headline. What other purpose might one have for giant chains designed to hold hundreds of pounds of cargo? The answer is: Freaks and weirdos who like to suspend each other from stuff. Unfortunately, I don't have any images that Amazon would approve of, so you'll just have to take my word for it, these hold a human body just as nicely as I'm sure they hold giant drums of whatever. Every piece of this is ridiculously thick and heavy and just screams "industrial use only" which can be great if you... I dunno... need to look intimidating for some reason. All in good fun of course. This item is certainly heavy duty enough that I would never question it's ability to hold a few people up to the ceiling. I don't know what it is they do up there, but I hear it hurts. Yet they always come back for more. People are weird.

We make essential oils that go into 33 and 55 gallon drums. We are constantly moving them, weighing them, shifting, loading and unloading all day. This is the fastest and easiest way to do that. It slides on/off the forks easily and just makes everything more efficient. The two chains are great, but the barrels sway and swing if you move/stop too quickly or once around. Sometimes, we need an additional person to steady the load. Three chains would be sturdier for sure. But, for the price, you can't beat this deal and we feel it's already paid for itself in labor alone.
