  • Ordered 4 and had to return all. Heart rate monitor not accurate with software. AVOID. Ordered 4 and had to return all. Heart rate monitor not accurate with software. AVOID.
I have order 4 of the Fitbit Sense 1 watches and had to return all of them. This watch is obsolete likely due to Fitbit not updating it's software to operate correctly with legacy products. There are many know problems with this watch and they are likely the reason Fitbit created the Sense 2. 1) The button designed to pull you back to the home screen rarely works. 2) The heart rate monitor is wildly inaccurate which leads to inaccurate measurements with exercise, sleep and the other cardio functions. The screen shots are of stairmaster sessions I had. I wore a chest strap heart rate monitor and that device showed my heart rate moving from about 100 to 150 in a linear path. At no point did my heart rate drop more than a few beats. You can see the Fitbit charts depict an implausible scenario. This has been the case with all 4 of the Sense watches I have had. I have followed suggestions found on the internet Appling water between the watch and my skin; wearing the watch tighter, looser, over the wrist and under the wrist. None of these things make a difference. It's extremally likely that Fitbit is making software updates without ensuring that the updates are compatible with their legacy products. This happens with most software companies and it appears to be the case here. If you are going to order a Fitbit product order the current model if you expect it to work as intended. At a minimum, stay away from the Sense 1. ... show more

  • Good device but setup is frustrating
This watch has a lot of features. The main problem is getting them set up. Better instructions would be a big plus. Often, instructions were written for a slightly different watch. The differences will drive you crazy. Getting the watch to sync with a phone or IPad proved challenging but Blue Tooth always is. Lots of permissions are required and many of them are hard to find. Syncing with updated data is a bit hit or miss. Having said all this, it is a good device. I bought it for its ability to detect AFIB. So far, it hasn’t detected any. This is good news for me if it is correct. I don’t know how to verify its accuracy. This is a bit concerning. Things I wish it could do (but can’t) are: - Being able to log weight directly on the watch. - Being able to identify event times on the sleep screen - Being able to use a full watch protective cover and still do AFIB checks ... show more

  • Broken screen after four and a half days of use. Broken screen after four and a half days of use.
In order to use the paid premium features for my diabetes and other medical issues I am tracking, the watch needs to be charged every other day. Unfortunately, the screen cracked on day five. I honestly don't know why this design defect is even a thing. The screen rises above the edge of the face of the watch. There is no buffer for if it hits anything. I wasn't even at work or anything where I would expect damage to something on my wrist. I am home recovering from spinal surgery. I'm barely walking and still managed to break this watch. I would not recommend this fitbit. It is obviously not able to hold up to daily wear for something that is supposed to be worn constantly. Edit: I attempted to use this fitbit, even without use of the screen, but the Bluetooth function has stopped working after six months even after going through troubleshooting and reinstalling. Without syncing the information, I have no way to access anything on my fitbit. ... show more

  • Keep coming back
I will say I have purchased this watch 3 times. Every 18 approximately it stops taking a charge. But while it works it is great. This time I purchased the warranty so when or if this happens again I should be covered. I will say after the second time I did buy a different watch but it did not compare to this one. Price is decent and the size and weight is very similar to an ordinary watch. I like the notifications for calls and move. ... show more
