  • Works well.

My previous FitBit was the original Charge HR, which had battery issues from the start. It was advertised as having a battery that would last a week, vut it never lasted much more than a single day, which then required more than an 8 hour charge. Unfortunately, that seemed to be everyones experience. I should have paid less attention to the overall satisfaction of users, and more attention to what they had to say about battery life. And when it failed several years ago, it was, unsurprisingly, a battery issue (it was lasting less than a day). And it persisted even after I replaced it. So I just put it in a drawer, several years ago. So before buying the Charge 5, I checked out all the reviews, and how long the Charge 5 holds a charge did not seem to be an issue at all. And the battery does indeed seem to last for a week! I haven't actually checked how long it actually lasts, but it is at least 5 days, possibly longer! My only issue is calling up the clock. The original Charge HR only required a quick turn of the wrist, and it turned on the display. The 5 has required tapping on the screen. Right now it requires 2 taps on the screen. It was originally one tap. I assumed that it is capable of responding to a turn of the wrist, so I changed it from 'Automatic' to 'Manual', and now I have to tap it twice. Not a big issue at all. Quite possibly it CAN turn on the day from a turn of the wrist, and I just haven't done my due diligence researching it. But so far, I am quite happy with it. ... show more

  • 2nd FAILURE IN LESS THAN A MONTH
Color: Graphite/Black
I've used Fitbit products for several years. I'm an avid fitness fanatic and enjoy the feedback on my sleep, exercise, as well as the badges you earn that keep you encouraged and going. However, since Google took over Fitbit I've been troubled with service and will be filing a report with the Fair Trade Commission. In short, a charge 5 failed in warranty. I contacted google July 26th and we troubleshot it over the phone determining that the battery had failed and that it would be escallated for replacement. Expect an email in 1 day asking for details and then a replacement thereafter. Email came on day 3 or 4. Responded promptly and allowed 2 weeks - nothing. Called Google, provided the reference number on the original email and was placed on hold a few times. I was asked for the basic information I had provided in the original response email. I was told I may get an email in a day or two explaining how to return the device. That email never came and no replacement was provided. Called again and was placed on several long holds and having been over a month since the device failed with no sign of Google backing their warranty, I ordered a replacement and the Asurion warranty on Amazon - figuring Amazon, unlike Google should back the warranty. I received the new charge 5 on Tuesday and Saturday night the screen lit up bright white, the watch buzzed a bit and the screen went blank. I noticed I had a low power email which I thought was odd as the app had showed me a 70% charge earlier that day. I charged the device overnight - nothing. I attempted to restart the device by pushing the black button on the charge cable according to instructions on Fitbit site - nothing. I have a constant red light displayed on the back of the watch and the display doesn't function. I am starting a claim with Asurion for a replacement. Sad part is that I have really enjoyed and grown attached to Fitbit service and products but from what I can tell I am either extremely unlucky or I have had two lemons in a row with one lasting 10 months and 1 lasting 4 days... and I need to find a new product. Be wary about purchasing the charge 5. Imho it is seriously flawed. Update: Amazon made this so easy. Love Amazon. Fitbit still has not provided any relief. I decided to try charge 6. If it fails I will be buying Garmin next go round. ... show more

  • Refund now please
Color: Graphite/Black
Refund issued after 6 days, I suppose I am used to the usually quick refunds with other vendors (spoiled) thank you ... I have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars (should be 4.5) all good now. Thank you Battery wasn't working properly as the unit would shut off with 50 a percent charge. I sent the unit back and it was delivered to the seller and 2 days later (UPS verified) andthey still have not refunded me ... show more

  • I wanted to love it
Color: Graphite/Black
What I did really like about it is, the large clear display. My Fitbit Charge 3 had died, or so I thought, and after reading reviews of what was comparable to it I decided to try the Charge 5, despite the bad reviews. Upon receipt, I immediately charged it to 100% and began wearing it but, about 24 hours later it was completely dead. I charged it again, hoping it would somehow resolve itself. It did not get better, the charge seemed to run out sooner with each subsequent charge. I chose to purchase a used, refurbished, returned Fitbit C-5, hoping they would have resolved this issue, somehow. It did not fix, or resolve. After a very short period of time, I found it was not giving me notifications to move, which I need as a reminder since I sit for long periods of time, engrossed in my work. Overall, the only benefit I found was the large display but, none of the other functions I benefitted from, with the Charge 3, were working for me. I bumped into my Charge 3, today and missing it already, I did some searching online and tried a few things which did not seem to work, at first. However, after an update, a reset, a full charge... my Charge 3 is back up and running and I hope it lasts a long time, at least, until they get the bugs worked out with the newer versions. ... show more

  • Awesome watch
Color: Graphite/Black
This is my first fitbit, and it was worth it. I've only had it a couple hours and I already love it. Customizable clock with tons of different apps and goals for the day. The only problem I had was my BPM kept reading numbers that would signal I'm having a heart attack like 124 and 138. Other than that I love it. I'm really looking forward to losing weight!! But the main reason I purchased was to tell the time during school. I also have a track meet coming up soon on Friday so this will be great to track my steps with! I'm looking forward to possibly upgrading to a Versa 4 in the future! I recommend purchasing. ... show more
