This fishing tool kit is as pictured and described. I got the kit for myself as I am making my own fishing pack instead of using my husbands. The tools are made decently well, the pliers are okay but not great. The pliers do not close flush and have a gap when closed. They have a very weak locking mechanism that doesn’t stay shut well. The grabber tool works amazing and is easy to use. I love not having to handle the fish with my hands as much. Especially for taking a picture and when they flail around. These worked flawlessly every time I used them. They come with handy carrying straps on each tool, I connected the two with the clip provided and carry them that way. I love having these in my kit and think they work great. They are priced fairly for what you get.

These tools aren’t from a well known fishing company and the quality shows. They feel a bit awkward in how they operate and feel flimsy, but they appear to work as they should…for now. I have my doubts how they will hold up over the fishing season. The spring on the pliers doesn’t seem very solid and the grips lock strangely. I can’t explain it but you’d have to try them to understand. Not bad for the price as they make a good second/spare set to have on the boat.

The pliers are the star of this show. They fit well in your hand, have a nice spring function, the lock is easy to set and remove. They will be great for removing hooks, especially the ones that get swallowed and are hard to reach. The pliers also have a cutting edge down by the handle for cutting line and have an indented section in the pliers for pressing led sinkers together. This is a useful multipurpose fishing tool. The fish grip, I am going to have to say that I like it in theory. I will update once I actually try them. They have to be opened manually, which will be hard to do with one hand, I think. But Walleye season starts soon up here, and they have very sharp and pointy teeth, so if they work, it will be awesome. They might be the fishing tool I always needed and never knew existed until today. The lanyard can be used to attach the pliers to your belt or tackle box. For those of us that wear waders and are in the river hip deep, this is actually a genius concept, so am pretty happy with that addition to the kit. The only negative I have so far is that the coating on the pliers is not very consistent. There are areas where it is already worn off, but since the set is stainless steel, it should not rust easily so that should not matter too much.

I grabbed this mostly because the pink set made me laugh, but the tools are actually sturdy. The pliers have a good grip, the lip gripper works without slipping, and nothing feels cheap or bendy. It’s a great little kit to keep in the tackle box. Pros: Sturdy tools Pink (which is obviously the best part) Good grip on both pliers and gripper Lightweight but not flimsy Cons: Case could be a little thicker Friends will try to steal the pink set
