Ok, first things first - trust your instincts. I was reading articles and reviews, trying to find the perfect simple bassinet for weeks. I had a feeling I wanted this one but some of the reviews made me questions myself. Needless to say, those people must all be nuts, lol. One girl talked about how much it rocks. The way she described it, I had visions on my baby swinging like a monkey on a vine right out the window. Absurd. It rocks/swings the perfect amount. Perfect for the baby to rock herself, perfect for the parent to give her a bit of movement. Very sturdy and stable. Another girl talked about how she couldn't feel the vibration at all but then mentioned how it was as loud as a Mac truck. Again, absurd. The vibration is perfect, after all, it's for a BABY. Of course it doesn't vibrate like an adult armchair and why would you want it to... and the noise is whisper quiet, this coming from someone with hyperacusis. Another girl talked about how the lights were brighter than the sun. Again... absurd. The lights are subtly and warm, stars look great on the ceiling, barely noticeable with any natural light. She clearly didn't learn how to work the dimmer. Wrapping up, a reminder - trust your instincts. Other people's reviews are helpful but not necessarily accurate. Got this fort second baby, and I love it. It’s easy to assemble, but also sturdy. It’s cute, comfortable for my baby and fits well in my room. I felt that my baby is very safe in it.

I had this bassinet for my first child 3 years ago and he hated it because it moved a lot when he would startle at night. I bought it for my second child and he was ok as a newborn because we swaddles him. But now he’s 3 months old and kicking and flinging his arms at night wakes him up because the bassinet rocks and moves. I just realized that there’s Velcro on the ends of the bassinet (see pic) that you can use to keep it from moving! I tried it last night and he slept for 5 hours straight. Hopefully this helps parents love this bassinet again. I wish it had wheels on it to easily move around the house cause he loves the mobile and stares at it. I like that it has storage area under for blankets and burp rags and toys. It’s easy to assemble. I like the Light feature but it is bright when baby is sleeping. It has music that sooths baby. But the stars light doesn’t reach the ceiling so it’s pointless. It also vibrates. He’s almost grown out of it at 3 months so we will be giving this away soon. ... show more

We overall had a good experience with this bassinet. My baby has outgrown it, but here is my favorite and least favorite parts of the experience: Favorite: I loved that you can remove the box with the vibrations and sounds—it was so nice to be able to pop it in the pack and play so my baby could have the vibration when we would stay the night at Grandma’s. (Some people mentioned that the vibration timing out after 30 minutes caused their baby to wake up, but we never had that problem. As she got older I would only turn the vibration in when she cried in the night, and it helped soother her back to sleep when she wasn’t hungry.) Least favorite: I’m so surprised more reviews don’t mention this: the buttons on the control box (which is right on the side of the bassinet at eye level when you are lying in bed) are backlit. The lights stay on for the entire 30 minutes the vibration is going and are bright enough to illuminate the room at night. I had to cover the box so they wouldn’t make it harder for me to sleep between feedings. My husband didn’t mind, but with the bassinet on my side of the bed, this really bugged me. Also, the white noise was super quiet. Definitely not loud enough to replicate the womb experience. Not a big deal—we had a separate sound machine—but a bit disappointing since that’s part of what you pay for with a bassinet like this. ... show more

I bought this around 3 months ago in a flurry of buying baby gear. I have returned from the newborn trenches and I must tell you.. the vibrate function and music is a game changer. Most used baby item. I can sleep (small bursts. Lol) thanks to him being comfortable.
