Our granddaughter was given this as soon as she came home and still loves to look and listen to it at sixteen months old, we brought another for our next grandchild soon to arrive. My one year old received the blue version of this toy as one of his Christmas gifts and payed it little mind in the playroom. When he started having some trouble getting to sleep at around 17 months, we tried offering it to him at bedtime and taught him how to activate it. Huge hit! It’s a great size for cuddling, the music is soothing and soft, and he is enamored with the light. I also really appreciate that it can be machine washed. He turns it on every night when we lay him down in his crib, and I occasionally hear him turn it on in the middle of the night or when he wakes up early in the morning. It has really helped him get to sleep more happily. I highly recommend this toy, with the caveat that it’s not necessarily a sleep miracle for all children. My four year old asked for her own seahorse, so I got her one for Valentines Day. She is good at getting to sleep happily and loves a stuffed animal, so I figured she would be quite satisfied with it. She was, of course, but I did not realized that much of her satisfaction would come from repeatedly activating the seahorse to use as a reading light. I let it go for a few hours before I intervened. Anyway, this toy has been well loved in our house 100% of the time, but only worked well as a sleep aid 50% of the time. Still a great purchase!

I bought this for my granddaughter who is just 4 months old she loves music and is just starting to use her hands she just loves this toy she has learned to hug it and the music helps her fall asleep when she is fighting it great first toy for a baby

My first daighter got a glow worm 11 years ago and it gave up the ghost so I was hoping this was the same, but it's not. The glow worm had 3 functions with a medium volume enough to soothe the infant holding it (no volume control). It had a demo function that would play a few moments of a single tune with a glow function (it would stop the tune at the end of aapptopraite area (I.e. you could sing twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are. And the song would end), an option of one full song with glow, or just glow with no tune. I was hoping this was the same. It's a cute little seahorse and super soft. My 7 month old loves it. All switches are on the battery pack which is velcrowed into the toy. The battery pack also has the might and music player attached and can be removed entirely. It has a volume loud or volume soft switch and a seperate switch that turns it off, demo (only 10 seconds of a song) with light, or a full song after another song after another song... I dont know how long it goes for but it doesnt stop until it has played all of the songs (lost count maybe 12?). So here are my beefs with the toy. My kids are annoyed that after 10 seconds the toy ends the song with a fade and bubble sound, which if your kid loves to sing, it stops mid sentence or lingers after it should have ended. My other beef is that the music doesnt stop when the tummy is pressed and just keeps playing. So the baby cannot turn it off or change the song. The music is cute but it's frustrating that it doesnt turn off unless I manually open the toy and flip it off. If you are a parent, you know that when the littles see you open up any toy it like ruines the "magic" of said toy and now they either loose interest in the toy or think they figured out some secret and wont stop messing with the battery pack (so for safety reason the toy ends up getting taken away and tears and drama follow...). If it had a nightlight only function that would be awesome, but its not a huge deal. So if they fixed those 2 major things, I would totally love this toy and keep it as long as possible as it would be a home run. I haven't washed it yet, but it looks like it will clean up well in a washing machine on gentle in a mesh bag, after you take out the battery pack of course. Overall it is a good buy and my daughter likes it. I think though she will grow bored of it since the music doesn't stop and I'm not going to turn it off in front of her. It will be good for bedtime so maybe it will be her crib toy only (like a white noise). Going to admit the constant "bubble" sounds going off durning the music is already getting on my nerves too, and this is day 1 of it being used.

The media could not be loaded. This little seahorse is SO cute! My baby has loved this Fisher-Price Seahorse since she was 4 months old and still cuddles it. It plays calming lullabies, gentle ocean sounds, and even soothing bubble noises. The soft glow is comforting without being too bright, and I love that the sound/light unit is removable so the plush cover can be washed such a smart design for parents. It’s the perfect mix of cuddly and functional. If you're looking for a calming, sensory-friendly bedtime buddy, this little seahorse is great!

I can't not tell you how many of these I've boughten over the years. I give these for babysitter gifts. They also have a pink one, so that's a plus. I always tell them to play the music while the baby is still in the stomach so they get used to it. You would not believe how many people thank me. When the baby is born and says it keep them so calm. Plus the music is so soothing and doesn't get annoying. Definitely a must buy, it also functions as a night light. The battery last a long time. I can go on and on about this. Trust me, it is way worth it.
