My Dyson died shortly after buying this battery pack. I disassembled the pack expecting to find 4000mah cells but they are only 1500mah cells. No where near the advertised capacity. The original Dyson battery pack had Sony VTC4 2100mah cells inside.

My dyson v6 absolute stuck vacuum suddenly started having a flashing red light on the unit and stopped working. I looked at the instruction booklet and it said “not charging (contact dyson helpline)”. So I tried calling the helpline and none of the menu options were for the problem I had. So it finally caved and said it would connect me to a representative but continued interrupting the hold music to encourage me to look at their web page for troubleshooting (which I had already and found nothing). Holding for a representative went on far too long and while waiting I found a YouTube video with a link that sent me to this product listing. So I ordered this and gave up on waiting on hold any longer. The video was way too long, you don’t need to watch a 10 minute instruction on how to remove two screws, pull the battery out, and replace it with the new one, then replace the two screws. It’s super simple and my vacuum works again. The battery arrived in 24 hours with prime and the battery swap process took a total of ten minutes, less time than I waited on hold for a dyson rep. The original battery lasted just under 3 years so if this battery (which is about 1/3 of the price of the dyson battery) lasts a year then it’s worth it! ... show more

Gave a 1 star only because no 0 star available. Charged fully before installing into vacuum. Worked for about 5 minutes before dying. Tried to recharge; get the orange blinking light but no blue light - completely dead after multiple retries This is obviously a poor (junk) replacement. Unfortunately, sometimes you don’t get what you pay for - so very sad. Will try to contact the company for a replacement before I return for refund ... show more

2020-11-22 EDIT: we are not heavy users, basically never use battery to completely drained. today it seemed to overheat, greenlight flashed a couple times and now its completely dead. no LED lights when charging or using button. checked with a mulitmeter and the battery shorted internally and is reading zero volts. buy a different brand. original review: has almost double the original capacity. 2 regular little screws and it was installed. LED light works, everything works. such a nice upgrade. great!!! ... show more

    • After draining and recharging got full 20 minutes of run time.
Initially the battery lasted about 3 minutes. then customer service contacted me and asked me to fully drain and then recharge. Now I'm getting a little over 20 minutes of run time. I would purchase again.

I’m very satisfied with the company. I purchased this battery, and it didn’t last quite two months before it went completely dead. When I checked about returning it it was beyond the time that I could return it. I wrote a negative review, the company contacted me and offered a replacement. When I explained that I had already purchased a new battery from a different vendor, they refunded my purchase price.I really feel this was above and beyond and would definitely purchase from this company again. ... show more

    • Back to life for my V6
My V6 had cut-off issues after 4 years and I'd done all the recommended Dyson troubleshooting, including cleaning the vacuum and the battery contacts. I was getting 5 min max of run time. I gave this replacement battery a shot and couldn't be happier - it's like having a new vacuum. The hardest part of the installation was removing the screws from the Dyson mounting, which I had to do earlier in order to clean the battery contacts. I recommend a long, skinny Phillips head screwdriver and patience. Once I had the new battery installed and charged, everything was running brilliantly. I'm getting enough charge to vacuum our whole small apartment and do touch ups - at least as good as it was brand new. I can't recommend this more if your battery is reaching the end of its life. ... show more

Got my order Jan 28th, 2020, the installation process was simple to complete and the battery works seamless with my vacuum. I ran my handheld unit on max on shag carpet and it did the job with ease without making the unit shutdown. I would recommend this product as it is a fraction of the authentic unit and offers longer run time.
