  • A Must For Diversity on the Dobro!
Format: Paperback
This book is great with the tabs for some great songs, including traditional, pop, bluegrass, blues, etc. It's a wide spectrum of favorite songs and I look forward to digging in with the tabs. It will definitely help me with the alternative tunings.

  • Lots of songs, not a lot of explanation
Format: Paperback
This book jumps right into the tablature but doesn't fully explain how to read it if you're just starting out reading guitar tabs. I can't tell how I'm supposed to strum amongst other small details that would make reading it clearer. I tried to find relevant info on google, but couldn't find examples of charts to read in the manner that this book is written. Handy if you're trying to learn some new songs, but a bit confusing. ... show more

  • Average book, needs to be dexo
Format: Paperback
Pretty good book. Down side is that it doesn't have complete tabs, but rather shows a few bits here and there, and throws mainly chords at you, yet it is written with little symbols you need to reference the back of the book to decipher when and how to play something. It's a really cool book just not as simple as I was hoping. Would rather have a book of complete line by line instructions how to play a song. Still it has a strong song list ... show more

  • Essential book for the beginner or intermediate level player looking to learn recognizable songs quickly.
Format: Paperback
Tons of great songs in here. Nice beginner format. Does not generally include solos, but this book will get you playing some of the most popular rocks songs for beginner guitar players. I am at an Intermediate skill level, just starting to learn modes and all 5 positions of the Major and Minor Pentatonic scales. I have been playing for just under 2 years. Most of these songs I can learn on my lunch break at work and play along with the original track on the same day. Most of my studies have been around technique and not learning songs, so this book has allowed me to get up to speed on well known songs, quickly. I wish I had found this book when I first started. You can get playing real songs, very quickly, as long as you can read tablature. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn a bunch of songs quickly or is not already "playing by ear". ... show more

  • Not for Beginners
Format: Paperback
If you are just starting out, this is not for you. Tab knowledge is a must, but loads of great songs. Has tabs and lyrics, happy to have it in my library.
