I don't have the biggest room, so I have to be careful about what is in my room. This is a good size to keep some personal files organized and out of the way but ensure they stay safe. If you're in a space where you have to be careful not to clutter your room, this is an excellent replacement for a filing cabinet. Also, it's lightweight and can be stacked easily.

I live in Florida in an area where there are hurricanes. They’re not usually bad, but I have important documents that I cannot lose that I need to protect from both water and fire. I bought hanging file folders to go with it and it works wonderfully. I don’t find that I need much more room than just this file. It went together, just by unfolding it, and the quality of the fabric and the zippers are very solid. I find it very easy to use, but now that it is full I do have a little bit of difficulty sliding the files back-and-forth, which is not really what it’s meant for anyway. I feel a lot safer knowing that I can just grab this and leave the house or if there’s a fire or a hurricane takes out the house all of the important documents that cannot be replaced are safe.

This fireproof tote can hold 6 fireproof document keepers . I like having TWO fire walls , double protecting our valuables . This case is very roomy . It also gives peace of mind knowing everything is so well protected . I will not use the lock feature on this tote though — seems flimsy . This is one of the best investments . We will never regret this purchase .

The lock is a good security measure, but seems almost useless. It's not exactly difficult to carry off and you could probably cut into it with a sharp enough tool. However, it's good for peace of mind. This would also work much better in a drawer-type style. The top of the box is a zip cover so it flips up, which means if you don't want to move it to open it, you need to have it in a place where there's enough room above the box to be able to flip the lid up. You're otherwise lugging it around and if you have it filled with documents (or items), it could get hefty. The other issue I've found is that the hanging file folders don't slide very easily or well on the edge that seems to be designed for file folders. They end up falling off the edge if you aren't extremely careful. On way around this is to put in perfectly sized bins for file folders (but again adding weight to the box). Despite its shortcomings, the box is more or less functional and has a lot of nifty pockets. For the price, it provides some sense of security for important documents and helps keep you orgainzed.

Shipped in a flat box; I thought it collapsed. I was concerned when I saw the packaging. Once I opened it, it made perfect sense. It unfolds and becomes a light weight, sturdy, lockable box. Ingenious design. I wish I'd thought of it. I use it as a nightstand as well as for storing my files. Great bargain for the price.
