This little fireplace has given me a fireplace to add to my over the top Xmas decorations. When I finished decorating my family room for Christmas my children said it was perfect but wished we had a fireplace to add to the warm and cozy room! So I made one! This little fireplace not only fit perfect but includes a timer feature so once I constructed the fireplace I only had to turn it on once and not move the brick facade (cardboard) every evening. Update February 21, 2021: Received the 4th replacement...broken. A whole section of the front plastic was broken off. So this is being returned and I have purchased #5. This has to be one of the most poorly run companies for them to send out 4 items over 1 month that are all defective. Update February 20, 2021: This has turned into a challenge. The replacement showed up and was assembled wrong. So I return the original and replacement and ordered a 3rd one. According to Amazon, as I already received a replacement, I needed to order a new one as they can't replace the replacement. I received the 3rd one today, and the usb connector in the back, is completely broken. Back it goes and I've requested a replacement which will be the 4th. Is all this worth it? No. I'm just determined to get one that isn't broken and works for more than 2 weeks. Save your money and look elsewhere. Original review: This is exactly what I wanted...perfect size and great "fire". However, it is cheap plastic which already had scratch marks and imperfections when it arrived. As it was cheap, I let that part slide. 2 weeks into using it, the light still works, but the animation doesn't. I've requested a replacement. We'll see if that works any better. I know it's made cheapily, but I do expect the mechanics to work.

I bought this for my friend and patient who is living in a nursing home. When he lived with me we had electronic fireplaces in the house and I thought it would be a nice addition to his room. The timer works great, but I've been noticing that each day that I come and visit him which is about twice a week, when I show up the fireplace is on but it's not moving. I change the batteries and that didn't help so I took it apart and there appears to be nothing wrong. I put it back together and it started right up again. It seems to be the movement mechanism doesn't work. Unfortunately, the return window has passed - so now I just have to bang it a couple of times and it'll start up again. As long as you don't mind smacking it on top to get it to run again it's fine. I'm going to keep it until it completely dies and then purchase another of a different brand.

The media could not be loaded. I used this for my fake Fireplace decoration for Christmas. Keep in mind the batteries are in the low side right now in the picture. I adhered a TV box to the wall with brick contact paper and cut a hole with an x-acto knife the same size as the lantern. I used it a lot in the winter, but didn't use it in the summer. It requires new batteries at least once every 2 weeks. I liked it, but now it is starting to freeze up and not rotate (which creates the flame effect) and get kind of blinky. When the batteries are low it just gets dimmer. I will buy a new set of batteries and let you know if it fixes the freezing and blinking. Bought it Christmas 2023, used it that year and winter 2024, review written 3rd week of Jan 2024. I like the flame effects, it's quiet. Does not have a heat function. It's the size it says it is. Timer works.

I've had this lantern for just over 2 years. And I absolutely love it! Yes, it's small but it fits just right for my home. It has stopped turning a couple times. I just took off the bottom and put some spray lubricant in the motor holes and it works just fine.
