Description

Housed in a durable aluminum body, the RapidStrike 1-4x is IP67 waterproof and dustproof, fog-proof, able to withstand up to .338 caliber recoil and capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -13F to 131F. Quick delivery, but the reticle was upside down. Exchanged for a replacement. Replacement was quick to be delivered as well, but I guess this scope is just not meant to be, or at least from this seller. The replacement scope was defective as well, having the same upside down reticle. I'm 0/2 and just asked for a refund. Looking into the reviews/questions, apparently I'm not the only one, so buyer beware. ... show more

I decided to return this within 1 day for the following reasons. The LPVO was of decent in visual quality and the reticle was clear as well as the glass itself. The included red dot seemed nice in quality. Others have said the reticle was upside down but this one was correctly etched. The mount was of nice quality and the anodized finish was also well done. The adjustments for magnification were difficult to turn. This in itself makes sighting in harder as you'll need to wrestle with the scope which in turn moves the rifle. I find the windage and elevation turrets sloppy, allowing movement even in the down and locked positions. This is the second 1-4 X 24 Rapidstrike I have purchased (the other was not purchased on Amazon) and both exhibit the same issue. My first Rapidstrike was on my AR platform and performed adequately as far as holding zero, but the amount of force required to make magnification adjustments on this new purchase and the sloppyness of the turrets lead me to believe they aren't worth even the cheaper price and thus force me to return this purchase before even attempting to mount it. ... show more

The review claiming you have to use an allen wrench to adjust the turrets (and says he's USMC...) this is literally comical. You pull the turret out to unlock it, spin it, then press down to lock them in. Ridiculous. Okay so I also own the 1-6x version. This one is lighter and noticebly smaller. It's reticle is also very small, far smaller than the 1-6x which is a great thing. A major selling point, actually. Not that the 1-6x is huge but especially for night use a small little circle dot center is very nice. Used on carbine length 7.62x39 with hard recoil holds up fantastic. I even dropped mine on gravel and zero is perfect. Great little budget LPVO for 7.5-12.5 barrels because it's so comapct. One of the smaller ones on the market. ... show more

    • Not Holding Zero for very long.
Ehhhhhh....It's not holding zero, at all. Even with loctite blue holding everything down (includes the rail mount, and the turret screws), this scope is shifting, left, right. The only thing not shifting is elevation, and that's really frustrating, since today is the 3rd day in a row I've spent at the range for 2 hours at a time, zeroing the scope in on my 30-06 Savage, and by the time I've gotten the shots on the bullseye (and I get a thumb-sized grouping from my Savage btw), the next subsequent shots start veering off in the opposite direction. Loctite blue didn't even bloody work on this. Either this isn't for the force of the 30-06 or y'all's quality control is bad. If I had time for a 15 min video, I'd lash it to this review just so that you get to see the frustration I have watching the impact shift shot by shot, while my supply of ammo withers away over the course of 2 hours a day.
