Description

DRAGON BEARINGS Specially designed and created with the help of expert bearing designers, Dragon Bearings offer unparalleled performance and fiercely precise construction. Founded to create a longer lasting bearing using tried and true bearing technology, Dragon Bearings feature precise steel machining, dual labyrinth style bearing shields, incredibly long lasting and fast lubricants, and fully removable shields and cages.RACE and ENDURE LUBRICANTS Lubricant in bearings is one of the most important aspects for performance and longevity. Dragons come with one of two lubricants: ENDURE or RACERACE uses a light, low viscosity oil specially formulated to maximize speed. The low viscosity oil allows the bearing to roll freely and quickly, but is more easily washed out of the bearing during use. We recommend RACE for high speed and spinner applications.ENDURE is a slightly thicker grease lube that requires minimal maintenance. This lubricant latches on to bearing components and protects them longer and stronger than oil, but at the expense of sheer speed. We recommend ENDURE for longboards and cruiser boards. DUAL LABYRINTH SHIELDS Dragons come standard with two shields on either side of the bearing for maximum protection from the elements. The last thing riders want is to worry about their bearings getting dirty. With Dragon, install and forget. They're designed to last.APPLICATIONS Dragon Bearings come in bearing size 608 which can be used in skateboards, longboards, Penny boards, spinners, roller skates, roller blades, scooters, and even some suitcases. If you have questions about fitment, please let us know and we will assist!BEAST GUARANTEE Dragons are fully backed by the Fireball Beast Guarantee which promises 100% satisfaction on all Fireball products.

  • Reliable, Durable, Consistent
Style: BUILT 8
I've been using Fireball bearings for years now. I'll switch between these and Zealous depending on the deal. I love Fireball built-ins. On my bracket setup, I stepped up to some 90mm wheels from 85mm and threw in these bearings because I'd rather keep a spare set of wheels ready to roll. Once again, these have been great right out of the box. Took my rig out yesterday for a short ride and they were smooth and fast. I dig the company and their products and definitely will continue to purchase these bearings in particular. Ten years of using Fireball and they remain one of my favorites. ... show more

  • So far So GOOD!
Style: CERAMIC 8
I bought the Ceramic set x2 to fit into my quad skates. I previously bought a set of "Two-Lions" ceramic. the first 16 were great that i bought a 2nd set, but those ended up being trash - i kept having to clean them once every two weeks, and a few bearings were bad from the getgo. decided to just buy a different brand. I was ultimately going to get Swiss ceramics, but decided to try out these dragon bearings before forking out the heavy $$$ for Swiss. I'm glad i did! so far 2 weeks in, it's been handling just fine. These ceramics definitely have tighter tolerances than your cheap-noname-ceramics. And it came lubed! i cracked one open to inspect and defintely there's some oil and these were black ceramic balls. After breaking them in after a few hours, they run real real smooth - much smoother than the two-lions... and feel like gliding on glass. I went with ceramics cuz i like to roll around the rink without heavy pushes. After getting some speed, i'm able to roll around the rink without further pushes like maybe 2 time - love it! Hoping these will hold up the test of time. Will update as these get more use. ... show more

  • Super convenient.
Style: BUILT 8
If you're a downhill long boarder, a high impact skater, or you change wheels at the park. These are really good for any of those situations. The built in spacers are MUCH more heavy duty and precise than any third party spacer you'll ever get. But the best thing about them is not having to deal with all the fiddly bits if you change your wheels out very often. As far as rolling goes, I'd say they're comparable to just about every other bearing in their price range, only they have a slightly more viscous grease, rather than a "speed cream", or race oil. Which is really fine for 99% of situations, and really good for any high speeds. Haven't tried clearing the grease, and putting a light oil to them, but I imagine they'd essentially be Bones Reds at that point, in so far as quality of spin, honestly, I really like them as they are, even for just pushing around the park, they have a solid, less squirrelly feel, and a quiet operation. The only bad thing about them is removing them from some wheels, since there's no way to hook the back of the bearing to pry it out. So if you have one of those wheels that REALLY grabs the bearings, they can be tougher to pull out. ... show more

  • Excellent bearings. Would recommend to anyone
Style: ENDURE 8
I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but these bearings deserve one. I compete in slalom skateboarding where you can literally lose by .01 seconds so every hundredth of a second matters. I have entered some competitions, giving the Fireball Dragon's a shot as a friend referred me to them. I couldn't expect better. Performed just as well as my premium bearings at 1/4 of the price. I have always like the idea of having two removable shields. Extra protection. Plus, if you accidentally destroy one when removing for cleaning, you still have an extra shield to place on the outside. (Sometimes I'm not careful enough when removing the shields...) One other cool thing about these bearings is that they actually have two different "formulas" that are ready to go right when you take them outside the box. No "break in time" BS. The endure formula is for less initial maintenance and I would think they would be best for most skaters unless you are skating highly competitive racing. Then, the race formula which is pure speed right out of the box which is what you would use if you have some races coming up. But in the end, after a cleaning, they are both the same bearings so you can choose whether you want to use a thin or thicker lube; though I am willing to bet I won't have to clean or re-lube these for a long time. I've skated at least 25 different bearings and see no reason why I wouldn't have the Fireballs on all my setups. ... show more

  • Too wide for roller skate wheels, description Rightly states for skate boards and roller blades.
Style: BUILT 8
Good price for descent China made bearings. 7 ball steel design. Roll nice and smooth and descently fast. I Purchased to experiment on quad roller skates but, when inner bushings butt together, they are too wide and will allow wheel to push back and forth in hub. Also, they will not allow lock nut to screw on deep enough to catch locking nylon. I measured and ground .045-.05 off each inner face of bushings ( 3//32 .093 or 2.4mm off Total width) and now Lock nuts grab properly and wheels barely slip in hubs. I really like how you can tighten them up without side loading bearing allowing them to spin freely. I left about .010 to make sure inner shafts butt up without pinching bearings. Perhaps seller offers special ones for roller skates, will see. ... show more
