  • Great little book
This book is great for two reasons: First, the recipes can be cooked in an afternoon. Second, the hydration levels are not too high. (In other words you will not be working with sticky wet dough.) The slight downside of lower hydration is you need a high temperature (500C or 932F). You could add a little more water and cook at a slightly lower temperature. In the second section ("Something Special") there are recipes that are around (400C or 752F). Lower temperatures are more forgiving. The garlic mushroom pizza cooks at only 350C or 662F. PS The recipe for Sicilian pizza is wrong: too much water is listed for the other ingredients. 125-150g of water would be correct for the amounts of other ingredients. In other words, the water listed is twice what is needed. Using 125-150g will give hydration of 50-60% which is appropriate. (The recipe is for two thin pizzas, so it may be that it was imperfectly adapted from a recipe for four pizzas.) ... show more

I gave this to my kids who had just gotten a pizza oven. The variety of recipes and choices of crusts make it fun for them to create pizza masterpieces. Loads of information…definitely worth the price for this cookbook!
