I'm just learning to swim using the Total Immersion training method which doesn't add the breathing into the freestyle until you've mastered all of the other techniques. I got this so that I can practice without having to stand up to breathe, as that is the method for the drills. As I've gotten more used to it, it's not bothering me quite as much, but I find that the pressure on the front of my head isn't very comfortable. It seems to be designed for a broader forehead (probably for men...come on world, design more stuff for women!) As I did with my goggles, when I upgraded from my first pair to my second pair there was a SIGNIFICANT difference, so as I advance I'm sure I will try some other snorkels and leave reviews for them ... show more

I have used the Finis snorkles for years and have been very pleased at their duribility and ease of use. This is the first one I have gotten that does not have the diaphragm. I did this inadvertently as I am losing my mind as I get older, but it turned out to be a fortuitous mistake. This works as well as the one with the diaphragm. I think, although I have not tested my theory, that it works best for shorted swim times. But who knows. I only swim about a mile a day using swim cords attached to the side of my pool. For someone who is using them for training the first type might be best. Also I love that Finis is coming up with new colors. ... show more
