    • A great way to replay the classics

If you are looking to replay the classics, or want to play them for the first time to see how the Final Fantasy series started, this is the way to go. I do like the old school graphics and aspects of the originals, and think they are better than the remakes. But at the same time, the remakes gives them a fresh coat of paint so-to-speak, and makes the graphics a little less painful for the people who are not accustomed to the 8 and 16 bit era. I also liked that they have Trophies/Achievements added to the games. ... show more

I had played a couple Final Fantasy Games as a kid on my Nintendo... they were pretty pricey back then, but one of my friends would allow me to borrow his when he was done. Of course, he always had the walk through books and made these games a lot easier than they would have been. Fast forward 35 years...and I do mean FAST... these are a great reminder of what video games were like for us. Not a ton of brutal violence or realistic graphics... just pixelated characters navigating classic story lines with some personal strategies, mixed in. This collection takes you back, and the quantity of games leaves you there. I suspect this is a year's worth of game play for me, these days... tremendous value... and it's remarkable that the stories and the maps trigger memories that have been buried for those 35 years. Nostalgia! The Pixel Remasters of the OG Final Fantasy games from the 8 and 16-bit eras are the definitive versions. So much content on such a little cartridge! From the original title to one of the greatest RPGs of all time (FFVI), there is easily over a hundred hours of adventure.

Got this for Christmas from my wife, and I love it. Getting to go back and play old Final Fantasy games that have been remastered. The pixels look great and its been an awesome experience going back to the past to play these retro games. If you enjoy final fantasy you will love this game if your a younger gamer you might have trouble getting into it as they all definitely show there age but the redrawn graphics and music help elevate the experience but they still keep the original style of the originals final fantasy 2 still isnt a very good game but I love the rest of the games and if you didnt like the original versions this probably wont change your mind but for those that do you will enjoy it you can also buy these separately digitally if you only wanna play some or only one of the games in this collection ... show more
