If you're thinking about buying this one vs another one - buy this one! We bought this one first two years ago. Then one day my dog chewed through the leash while I was getting shoes on and had left his leash open (he's a power chewer! I should have known better!). Then I was considering whether I should buy this one again or another one. I kind of like to try new things... and that other leash came with a silicone water bowl and a poop bag holder and had different colors available and looked pretty cool... Worst mistake of my recent life! The lock mechanism on it wouldn't catch unless my dog was standing still, it wouldn't stay locked when you would click it on, and to top it off that cool poop bag holder was basically worthless! Ha! I didn't want to mess with returning that leash so I decided to just keep it and make do. After about two months of "making do," it totally broke. It became unable to lock at all, which is a danger if you're walking beside a busy road in a city. So immediately I ordered this leash again. When I know something good, I shouldn't mess with trying to change it. After this leash arrived, I could immediately feel a quality difference. The part you hold doesn't feel as cheap, the leash part is thicker, and when my dog decides to suddenly lunge after a squirrel or anything else, I can immediately and effortlessly snap down the lock and stop him. It's perfect. I'm so glad I have this leash again!

My dog was 6 months old when we got our first leash. He's only 24 lbs., but he's quite a puller which led to our leash retraction mechanism breaking today. Since we walk 3 or 4 miles daily I have decided to get him another one from this company. The leash lasted about 1 1/2 years, so I think it's still a good deal. The features that I appreciate most are the easy retraction control, the strength of the leash, and the way that it attaches to the handle.

This leash was all I hoped for. The small size is so convenient but small doesn’t mean your hand won’t fit. It is very comfortable to hold and light weight. I wish the cord was a bit heavier duty but it should be fine for my 15# dog

I got the orange one which is super vibrant and looks great. it feels expensive and is super heavy duty. I've only had it for a day, but its the best leash I've ever owned. im going to purchase another one for my girlfriend because she likes it more than her leash. 10/10 recommend

It holds my 85 pound puppy very well. It’s a little loud , you can hear it working. I paid $65 for a German one and I don’t see any difference aside from the noise. I will buy again if I need to. Can’t beat the quality for the price

Overall a good product. But the lock feature needs improvement. I have to return it due to incident that the leash cut my hand but it's the risk you must take for using any retractable dog leash. So it's my fault. i have switched back to traditional leash since to avoid getting harm again. But you prefer retractable leash, this one is okay.
