I got this product because we had a line of shoes across the back of a closet that took up too much space. This product allows one to organize objects of that size in a more efficient manner. Curiously the shelves come folded in half and hung together by hinges. It seems like it would have been a better product if these were continuous pieces, but this construction may be an advantage over time to keep the shelves from sagging. The product has numerous minor fit and finish issues as I've shown in the photos, such as the shelves don't quite lay flat at the hinges, it had very small nicks in the wood, and most of the drill holes had minor tearouts around on the exit side of hole where the drill bit came out. Despite being in shrink wrap for shipment, everything also had a fine layer of dust on it, but that's just an annoyance. All of these are quality issues that should have been better controlled at the factory. The bamboo shelves aren't that thick and there could be stability issues if you put a bunch of larger plants in heavy ceramic pots on the top shelf, but for the purpose of shoes it is no problem, especially since bamboo is very resilient. The shelves do fit into small grooves on the supporting legs, and are securely fastened by provided hardware. Rubber adhesive cushions are provided at the base of the legs. There are also wood pegs to extend the shelf higher, but I'm not sure I'm confident about the balance of this product at double its height. It's suitably stable for shoes at the provided height. On balance however one has to be realistic about this product: for utility purposes such as stuffing it in a closet to put shoes on it, no one is going to be down on their hands and knees inspecting it for minor fit and finish issues. So in that respect, something made well enough out of something durable like bamboo that is held together well is okay. It's not fine furniture, but at this price/performance point, this product gets the job done and it's fine. On balance, I'm happy that our shoes are better organized and I can make more effective use of our closet. ... show more

This is definitely functional but looks cheap and not super sturdy. It comes packed up very compact which means the shelves are folded in half. When I put mine together, the shelves didn’t unfold completely flat - you can see in the photo it’s slightly domed up in the middle. I do appreciate that they’re built so that you can order multiple units and stack them, however if you only want one you’re left with open screw holes at the tops of the legs. The shelves do not feel super sturdy. Since I’m going to be tucking this into my closet and it won’t be out in the open, I’m ok with all of this, but it’s definitely not a piece I would want out in the open. ... show more

    • Budget Shoe Rack, Best for Closets

The Fibogollo 3-tier bamboo shoe rack is a decent budget option for organizing your footwear, but it has its pros and cons. On the plus side, it's easy to assemble (took me about 20 minutes), no tools are necessary as it includes an allen key. The construction looks nice and feels sturdy enough for most shoes, although I wouldn't recommend putting anything too heavy on the shelves--also note that there is a very clear bend in where the shelves are hinged, so I would recommend covering up that part. The three tiers provide a good amount of storage space (I can fit mid-rise boots on the second and third shelves). However, there are a few negatives to keep in mind. First, the shoe compartments are not SUPER deep, so they won't accommodate big boots or larger sneakers--my feet are relatively small so this wasn't an issue. The rubber feet on the bottom are not very grippy, so the rack can slide around on smooth floors. And as mentioned before, the bend where the shelves are hinged isn't the most sightly, but I have this in my closet so it's not an issue for me. ... show more

This had great potential but upon opening, I realized it is very thin and I was concerned how it would hold up. Assembling it was pretty easy. Put together, I wouldn't recommend using heavier shoes or other items to store on it. Flat boards without the fold would have been better.
