  • Sturdy and convenient
Style: Extend Length: 59-118 Inches
I love that it telescopes and folds. Very convenient to store on the boat. Net is bigger than I thought it would be. Very handy for fishing with 10-14 ft. Rods. I would recommend this product

  • Bird Net
Style: Extend Length: 45-80 Inches
I looked for an easy-to-store bird net that I would use very occasionally to catch my hand-raised Starling. It needed to have coated netting that wouldn't catch his nails, and be deep enough to allow me to turn the frame 90* to contain him. The design with the flat side seemed preferable to the round because I can place it for him to fly in rather than me trying to catch him. The latter could injure him, as they are very fragile. The storage bag is well-stitched, and roomy enough to make slipping the folded net in and out effortlessly. Opening the net portion took a few minutes to figure out since no instructions were sent with the product. I have not had to use it, but I am confident that it will work well. It seems quite sturdy, having weight and substance to all of its parts. It ought to last a lifetime the way I plan to use it. ... show more

  • Great but not very sturdy
Style: Extend Length: 59-118 Inches
I have used this net more than three months. I netted more 40 Steelheads(missed 3-4). Five fish are longer than 30inches and heavier than 10lbs. But one fish (30inches, 12lbs) broke through it yesterday. Its main advantage is with a long handle. However, there are some tips to use this net and make it durable. After fish gets into the net, you cannot directly lift up the net from water and pull it back to you. Instead, you should pull it back to you first, then you lift it up from the water. You don't follow the tip. Your long handle will be broken while netting a big fish due to the large torque. It has two drawbacks. First, the netting area is not large. Sometime, you have to chase the fish in water. Second, you cannot agilely move this net in water. Thus, you better net the fish when it is tired. Otherwise, it will be little challenging to net the fish. Overall, based on its performance and price, I still recommend this net to other people. It is a very long net less than $30. It has successfully netted more 40 Steelheads (missed 3-4 fish). I have nothing to complain if you learn the tips to use it. Oh.... there is another tip. Don't let other people who don't know how to well use this net to net the fish for you. They likely break your net. That is what happened to my net. ... show more

  • Size matters
Style: Extend Length: 59-118 Inches
Great landing net. Most often, foldable landing nets are too small and too weak to land a fish of any size. This is built well. That's obvious as soon as you remove it from the pouch it arrives in. When I unfolded and extended it, I was totally impressed with not only the build quality but the size of the net and length of the extensions. When fully extended, it's around 10 feet long and yet still strong and capable of landing larger fish with ease. I'm very happy with my purchase. I think it's worth every penny. ... show more

  • Far better quality and size than I expected.
Style: Extend Length: 59-118 Inches
This is a keeper for someone who wants a nicely built net whose handle telescopes out to reach for fish, chickens or even frogs that are within its >8.5 feet of reach. |If you use some common sense bringing in your catch, you can safely land a 10 to 20 lb fish. If you don't use common sense, you can break the net/pole with just a 5 lb. fish, and blame the net, and not yourself for such failure. So, when you get a fish within the net, bring the net and fish closer to you by pulling the long handle backwards, keeping the net and the heavy fish in the water, until the fish/net are close to you, rather than trying to lift your catch out of the water when it's furthest away from you. That's just putting less stress on the long handle. The net is far bigger, wider and longer than I expected, and that's a good thing for a fisherman. I bought this for its long reach and telescoping down, to easily transport and store it. There are tradeoffs in having a telescoping and folding net, rather than a long, solid aluminum or steel handled net. Your choice. To pack up the net, the net collapses by pushing on the plastic button at its base, and folding the net up. Then telescope the long handle to shorten it. Easy-peasy. Treat the net with respect, and it could last a few years, depending on your use and talents as a fisherman and net user! ... show more

  • A Long, Practical & Effective Telescoping Fishing Net!
Style: Extend Length: 59-118 Inches
This telescoping 10' plus net does what it advertises as it gives me greater range & reach into the water @ different lengths. It can feel a bit heavy when totally extending & reaching into the water @ max body & net length but I think that's to be expected (although I am "a bigger" guy). This net has an ample opening & a deep net depth for large catches but the net holes are still small enough to catch “little bait fish.” It's not as light as other nets for crabbing or catching small bait fish so your “swiping speed” might be slowed when using it for these purposes. I got another cheaper & lighter net for that. I've read reviews on how to properly use this net so as to not break the net/pole connecting joint & it makes sense. Although it's strong, too much pressure should not be applied to the net/pole connector so use it to support your catch as opposed to using it solely to make your heavier catches. I generally like the construction, durability & practicality of this net and I think I made a great purchase @ $50! My fishing friends have complimented this net as well. I do recommend it considering you know & understand what it is. ... show more

  • Broke on first use
Style: Extend Length: 59-118 Inches
When I got the net I noticed the telescoping feature felt "sticky" and telescoping it was oddly difficult. I thought maybe it was because it was new, but after I landed my first fish I am thinking I got a defective one. Used the net to land a lower slot redfish, and as soon as we netted the fish the top of the net immediately went into the water with he handle still in my hand. I had tightened the net prior to landing the fish, so I know it wasn't user error. Judging from other reviews, this net seems like it is great, but for me it was not. Disappointed it broke on the first use. ... show more
