I love that this collar lights up. It helps me find my boy when he’s out at night but the battery doesn’t last as advertised and in a place where the internet isn’t very strong (we have a heavily wooded 20 acres) it doesn’t really let us know where he is! When he goes out of the safe zone I set up it doesn’t track and let me know he’s left the area. I did take him on a trip to the store and after about 25 minutes I finally got a notification saying he was near the store. All in all it’s okay

Fi has been awesome. We originally purchased this because we were going to Big Bear and we were worried he might get a little too excited and run off, so we wanted to be able to track him (Oliver, our 1 yr old Bedlington Terrier). That didn't happen - but now we love the walking and steps tracking, and even the social aspects. Battery life has been great and I love how we can add other people since he gets walked by others while we are at work or otherwise unavailable. So I highly recommend - even if it is for peace of mind because if you get a little OCD and worry whether you shut the door hard enough or not, you'll know if your furball exits their safe zone!

Let me start by saying that I think the device and the app are both very easy to use and accurate, which I really appreciate. It provides an exact location of where my dog is, and that's exactly what I need. However, I’m disappointed with the quality of the collars. The first collar I received was faulty and didn’t snap into the device properly, so I had to initiate a return. The second collar worked for a few days, but after just three days of use, it stopped holding securely and disconnects with even the slightest pressure. I didn’t expect to have to deal with returns repeatedly, especially since I ordered through Amazon for convenience. The tracking device itself is great, but the collar it comes with is lacking. I’ll probably look for a replacement elsewhere.

Well, I am very fortunate that i received the collar quickly. This collar allowed me to quickly find my dog when he dug out of the fence. He is lightning fast so being able to head him off was helpful. He met 38% of his step goal for the day by the time I got to him. The other features on the app have all been great. Being able to track his rest vs activity and the community are all fantastic features. I enjoy being able to see all the adventures other dogs are having. It's inspiring and adds an unexpected bonus to the experience. I definitely feel this collar is worth the cost for the peace of mind. It works well and my good boy looks so handsome in it. I am grateful you make a good product because it really came through when I needed it. Thank you.

We first got an FI collar when our puppy ran away on a walk. We found him but knew that we never wanted that feeling ever again. We first had an series 2 collar and now we have an series 3 one. Our dog hasn’t ran away since that but we love the feeling of knowing if he did we could just open the app and find him. We have shared Fi to many family and friends.

Most of the time it showed Rusty sitting on the front porch even though we let him out the back door. Bc of that he only logged 419 steps a day. One “walk” logged was through the woods under the fence, around the neighbors barn, into the next neighbors yard, back under the fence, through the trees and back into our yard. The dog did all that but it was definitely not me taking him on a walk. Never notifies me when he leaves safe zone. At least it has shown me,in retrospect, where he is getting in and out. When I tried to set up the collar customer service said it was already registered to someone else and asked if I had bought it secondhand or if it was a gift- that was odd since I bought it new from Amazon. Just not what we needed with our escape artist, I guess. This is not very responsive if you are looking for something to alert you quickly. It is very well made, compact and comfortable.

I think bad reviews are from people who really trying to use it as virtual fence. But Fi does not work like this. Its purpose is finding your lost dog when it is far from you. It is like emergency device not a compass which continuously tracks dogs position.. This is done for battery saving and to reduce device size. In my suburb area it reports my dog escape in ~7 minutes after escape. When I start live tracking it settles down for 2 - 3 minutes and theen it shows my dog position with accuracy about 10 ft. So "cold start" takes about 10 minutes and you shpuld keep this in mind. This is completely enough to find and recover your lost dog. But yes, this thing is not suitable work as virtual fence - delay is too big.
