The shop where our teen daughter gets her hair cut has tinsel like this and charges $1 per strand. Just based on this cost, the set is an incredible deal! There are virtually no instructions so you may need to check online for directions and/or videos like we did. The included loops are handy, but you do need to be careful about how tight they are as too loose and the tinsel falls out and too tight will have the hair get destroyed when you remove the loop. For the most part we cut a piece of tinsel, then wrap/knot it around a small strand of hair near the scalp line. The tinsel will come out naturally when washing and brushing - about a week in our experience - and is pretty easy to do though easiest with someone helping. Overall, this is a fun way to add color to hair and much less expensive than what you would likely find at a hairdresser.

My package arrived without the tools and beads. Fortunately, my purpose for the tinsel was not to put in my daughter's real hair, but in a halo extension I had previously ordered. I was able to use the loops from some loop extensions I added to the halo to loop the tinsel into the upper lace of the halo extension. I pulled the tinsel halfway through, then tied it in a knot to hold it in place. I used one package of the pink and silver and it turned out pretty for my daughter's "Rapunzel hair" for Halloween. EDIT:Customer service reached out about the missing tools and made the issue right. The tools and "beads" work well, though I wish the beads were a bit smaller so they were easier to conceal towards the top of the hair.

Cute and fun thing to do with my niece. Adds a nice sparkle to your hair without being to much for kids. Only thing I wish was included was instructions, I had to go watch a tutorial video on how to put them in. You get so much tinsel so this will last awhile too

These hair strands are super fun and my daughter loves them. Unfortunately they make a huge mess. The tinsel is really hard to control and when trying to put it in the hair it goes everywhere. I was finding tinsel on the floor for a long time. I donโt want to do it again just because of the mess.
