Update: I've been living with this desk for a few months now, so adding promised update. 1. Motor is still quiet and smooth. It quickly raises and lowers the desk under load. I have a Vesa weighted monitor mount (instead of the clamped kind) with 2-27" monitors. There's no shaking when the desk goes up or down. 2. To my drawer comment below, the back of the drawer itself, when closed, creates the back of the drawer "box". So when it is closed, it is flush with the box it rises in. Could still see papers or thin items perhaps falling out the back when the drawer is full. 3. Having the option of wheels is great. Makes it really easy to vacuum, which is a necessity when you have a very fluffy dog like I do. 4. I use the stand function frequently, but not everyday. I should do more. I find going from sitting to standing and vice-versa really helps me re-center my attention when I start to go off track. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Original: I haven't had a chance to use this yet other than initial build and testing, but I've noted a few positives and minuses. Cons: 1. It is flat pack, and I don't expect the quality of solid wood, but I can see the surface not wearing well over a long period of time. 2. There's not a lot of placement options for the hooks or controls unless you have a drill to make your own pilot holes. 3. There's a rather noticeable gap between the two pieces of desktop. I have an extra large desk mat I'll be using, so probably not an issue for me in the long run, but it isn't a completely smooth top like you'd get with a one-piece top. 4. There is no back to the "cabinet" that holds the drawers. I could see smaller things falling out the back if full. Pros: 1. Upon initial testing (desk only, no load) motor was smooth, quick, and quiet. 2. Wheels roll easily, even over my rug. 3. The desk drawers pull all the way out before stopping so you have full access to everything in the drawer. No having to reach to the back and not being able to see what's back there. 4. Adhesive cable ties are included for the motor control/power cord. 5. It feels sturdy. 6. There's plenty of room behind the drawers for cable management attachments. 7. I found it easy to assemble, but I've also put together a fair number of flat pack pieces of furniture in my day. I was also able to lift the whole box, and others may have issue with the weight of the desk when assembling alone. I don't feel I can give this 5 stars given the cons listed above, and for the fact that I haven't been able to use the desk with my full set up yet. I'll try to come back after a few months and provide update.

It did take me a whole evening to put together, but it was totally worth it! I definitely recommend having a drill on hand, to get all the screws nice and tight! Everything feels sturdy. The drawers were a bit smaller than I was hoping, but they fit all my essentials. My favorite part is that I was able to put a small treadmill under my desk, so I can now get some more steps in while I work. I have a very sedentary desk job, so I’m hoping this will help me improve my health!

This is a 'me' thing: the only problem I had was in step 3, where I wasn't paying attention to the instructions closely enough and tried to mount the legs upside down. I was wondering why only one one of the screw holes lined up. Turns out I had the piece upside down. Once I realized this, I turned the leg around and indeed, the screw holes lined up. The manufacturers know what they are doing. There were a couple of pilot holes missing where the central brace mounts to the bottom of the desk, but the included self-tapping screws go easily into fiberboard. This was packed very well, so even though there were a lot of fiberboard pieces, and UPS kicked it around like a football like they usually do, everything arrived safe and sound. Includes a LOT of extra screws and cable anchors, which is nice because I save those for other projects. If you have screws left over, that's normal. The description says it includes a 'splice tabletop', which--if I'm understanding Internet results correctly--is meant to hide the seam when the desk is put together. There is nothing included to hide the seam, but it's not really noticeable once I put all my stuff on the desk. There are braces included which screw in and, added to the wooden dowels, stabilize the tabletop well, so if that's what a 'splice tabletop' is, then I take my words back. The drawers work well, but I wasn't expecting to have to push them shut, you have to push them a few millimeters to make the drawers flush with the front of the desk. There are rubber stoppers(?) that hold them in place. The good news is that the drawers will stay shut if the unit is moved, unlike most pieces of furniture, so I actually liked this feature. A word on price, and this doesn't reflect on Amazon or the manufacturer: I bought the desk on Lightning Sale, so the price ended up around $247 including tax. The price seemed a little high to me at first, but I realized that I was paying for cost of inflation and increased shipping costs. It's equivalent to a $150-$175 desk a couple of years ago. Just keep in mind that everything is more expensive now, and adjust your expectations accordingly. I like the memory feature of the control panel; I only need two memory slots, and there are four. The electronics of this desk work well. Some desks that retail for more than $300 advertise that they have double motors. I think that that feature is probably not needed. This motor easily handles a 43-inch monitor, laptop, and accessories with aplomb; there is no audible struggling. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase. I feel like I got a better deal than at Ikea (the nearest equivalent there is $800 or more) and it was delivered to my door.

I wanted to prove a close up option of the dark wood option. I think it is better than I thought it would look. The desk is easy to put together and you can do it by yourself. I purchased the 55 inch and have my all-in-one pc, a long curved monitor, and a lamp on my desk. The motor is not loud at all. So far I’m loving it!

Excellent desk. Sturdy and very good VALUE for the cost. A tad on the small side and drawers are tiny. As you can see with two monitores, keyboard and a few items the desk is packed. Holds up really well! Worth the purchase.

I am very happy with this desk. It took a little while to assemble but the instructions were clear enough. All the parts fit together snugly. What I also liked was that the manufacturer included one extra screw or connector for each part, just in case you lost something. I work from home primarily, and it works perfectly. I really like that you can preset different heights and just press one button to get there. I think it was a great deal for what I paid for it. Just a warning: the box is really heavy - you may need someone's to move it to where you want to assemble it. Once opened, you can get at all the parts easily. I highly recommend.
