Perfect for bottling
I bought this after looking at many different types. I read the reviews on all of them. One of the things I saw about this one was that it leaked a little bit when removed from a bottle that was being filled. The first thing I did when I was starting to clean it to use, I filled it with water and the only drips I saw was coming from water that was on the outside. While using it I didn’t see anything that would made me think that it was coming from the inside. It worked perfectly and I can’t believe how much easier it made my bottling of my home brew. Can’t imagine going back to the way I used to do it before. Easy to clean and easy to use.

This filler works great!
I tried a stainless steel filler that was a bigger diameter than the plastic one and although the stainless one was good quality, it left too much head space in the top of the bottles and being spring loaded, it kept slipping off the pontil in the bottom of wine bottles. The plunger on the Fermtech filler shuts off by the pressure of the liquid and it doesn't take much downward pressure to get the flow going. It does leak a little after taking it out of the bottle but after a few taps, it's pretty much clear sailing and on to the next bottle. For the price, it can't be beat even if I have to replace it every year.

Simple, easy to use filler.
Drips a bit when moving from bottle to bottle, but I expected it would, its is only sealed by the weight of wine in filler tube. Else, it is simple to use and fills to the proper level, if you have a quick hand and pull filler when wine reaches the top lip of bottle. Good value for the price and acceptable for an occasional 25-30 bottle wine kit.

Replacement piece
This is my second wand like this, be careful not to suck up any small raspberry seeds or other particles as they can get stuck and render the wand useless. Otherwise works well like it should. Also in my opinion well worth the money.

If you are making wine, this is a must!
I just made my first 5 gallons (25 bottles) of Cabernet and I used this bottle filler. This item is a must. It made it so much easier. I perish the thought of not having this handy device to fill bottles and then move from one to another with ease. Push it to the bottom of the bottom and it fills, lift it and it stops. It could not be easier. Anyone who is going to make a batch of wine, make sure you have this as part of your equipment!
