  • Infatuation ... obsession ...
Color: Sonic Blue Style: HH Set: Guitar Only
Had been looking at this beauty on Amazon for a while; checked in one day andsaw .... WHAT!?!? 30% off!?!? Immediately took the plunge. Unboxed 3 days later ... a terrific guitar. Now ... the roller bridge ... it's going to buzz for a little while until you break the guitar in. I found the setup practically perfect out of the box; intonation on the D string was a little off; easy fix if you know how to do it. The coil splitting feature puts an amazing variety of tones and sounds at your fingertips. I cannot think of anything I would view as a downside to this guitar; finish had a tiny pimple behind the bottom strap peg; otherwise beautiful perfection. The tremolo is maybe a bit stiff; you won't be divebombing with this guitar without a little muscle. A little heavy maybe, more like Firebird than Les Paul weight. But the sounds are kaleidoscopical ... my love affair with this guitar is going to last a long time. ... show more

  • Like all Jaguars, it's got problems but you put the work in and make it better
Color: Ocean Turquoise Style: SS Set: Guitar Only
If you're a Jaguar lover you already know: The bridge is an archaic mess that will buzz, grub screws will work themselves loose and rattle, and it will go out of tune easily. You know if you strum too hard, the strings will pop off the bridge. You know there will be lots of rattling, and noise from the tremolo system and that it will go out of tune easily. You know you're going to immediately put a MUSTANG bridge on it, loctite the grub screws, and modify the trem system to be quieter. You know you're going to probably have to file one of the trem screws under the high E string so it doesn't touch and cause that string to break often. You know you are going to have to shim the neck to fix the action. You know all of these things, but you don't care because NOTHING sounds like a Jaguar. It's got those twangy slinky metallic tones that make a Telecaster sound like a Pbass by comparison. It can do deep jazzy tones with a lot of bottom end that will make a Jazzmaster cry in envy. Its tremolo allows for natural, subtle expression with much more control than the dive bomb style Strat trem system. The shorter scale length makes it SUPER comfortable on the fingers and allows for amazing string bending even with the tighter fret radius. The offset body it crazy comfortable and looks so cool compared to the Strats and Telecasters. Really the only thing the Jaguar can't do better than the other Fenders is it doesn't do Strat type chimey, bell sounds as well as a Stratocaster. Build quality is on par with my American Deluxe Stratocaster and little to no setup was needed out of the box. MIM Fenders seem to be decent quality and a bargain price. I am in jazzy, surf rock, rockabilly, classic 60's beach boy, Nirvana, heaven. ... show more

  • Perfect.
Color: 3-Color Sunburst Style: SS Set: Guitar Only
I bought one of these last summer from another store and was not happy. This guitar is set up well and sounds great in all positions. Fit and finish are perfect. Frets are perfect also. I am very happy with this purchase.

  • Sounds Amazing!
Color: Surf Green Style: HH Set: Guitar Only
This is probably the most versatile guitar I have ever owned. It sounds great right out of the box, and needs very little in terms of setup. 11/10 great purchase!

  • It's aight
Color: Sonic Blue Style: HH Set: Guitar Only
1st, if you buy a 12hundo dollar guitar it should come in a hard case. The bridge sucks and had to be replaced with a roller bridge to really get a good dive. Needed a pro set up. Other than that love it

  • So Versatile
Color: Surf Green Style: HH Set: Guitar Only
I have always wanted a Jaguar, the versatility of this thing is amazing. I have only 2 not so much complaints rather comments. Buzz from the tremolo and the frets are a bit sharp. Both fixable and Jags always seem to have buzz in the tremolo, but you'd think they'd of taken the time to clean up the frets at this price range. Out of the box this thing was playable. With a little setup this guitar is amazing. I would recommend this guitar all day. ... show more

  • This is a cheap guitar it every way!
Color: Sonic Blue Style: HH Set: Guitar Only
First thing, the tremolo bar broke. The bridge is a cheap piece of crap. I don’t know how Fender puts their name on it.

  • Such a cool tone !!
Color: Ocean Turquoise Style: SS Set: Guitar Only
Love the sound, I played the squire first, so I ended up ordering the better version. I upgraded to the better tuners, although the original ones aren’t too bad. Frets edges are all completely smooth unlike some other reviews, maybe I lucked out ? Color combo is fab So far I can’t really tell of any design flaws, except one of the original tuners doesnt seat completely , string side. ... show more
