I bought an 18 foot Fender cable in 1999 for $20. Still works flawlessly. I was watching old Woodstock videos and eyeballing the cables Jimi and Carlos were using. Looked into coiled cables and thought I'd try one. I actually thought it would do something to the sound but no. Not really. I mean I can use a one foot jumper right into the amp and then swap to this 30 foot Fender and it still sounds great. NO loss. I'm not sure why. Yeah, it is heavy but it is incredibly durable and incredibly well made. Also, I tested it against some other less expensive cables that I had been using. I swear that it conducts a much better signal to the amp. It also seems to be shielded and the hum I was experiencing from my strat diminished significantly. I am just an ol fart playing for myself. If you play out then you want this cable. Trust me. I'm not easy to please. ... show more

I really wanted a coil cable. They were the thing in my younger years (lets not talk about age). This is a genuinely heavy coil cable and I'm quite pleased with it. It is 30 feet But... the coil is strong so you really are only going to get about 10 feet or so from the amp - tension will build. I like it and if there were a longer one I'd buy it. This is a heavy cord. Too heavy, in my opinion. It works fine, sound quality is good, but it’s not very usable for live stage work because of the weight and bulkiness of the cable. I won’t order another.

I love the cord, but when you pay for a professional cord, you expect more than a few months before the connection *to the guitar" fails. I'm going to try and solder it back, but this cord was never put under any undue stress. I just used it for practice. I like the cord enough to buy another one, but I'm just hoping that I got a lemon the first time. ... show more
