  • Brand new took a chance on low price
The price was so low I was expecting a scam. The only thing I can find that leads to lower pricing is the body is clearly not well matched pieces as opposed to say the Sweetwater version with the well matched grain. I live in PA it shipped from Texas in a Fender UK box? Other than that this guitar played fantastic after tuning and a few slight adjustments. For six seventy five it was well worth the money. Many different sounds from the pickup configurations. Neck is smooth and fast, frets are smooth no issues. It is real. Came right up on Fender website. Checked off by some of same people at Fender factory as my new Player Strat. Worth every penny. ... show more

  • Horrible
Poorly cut nut slots , poorly cut nut covered in finish , frets covered in finish , high action , neck needs shim to get low action , fret buzz , open fret buzz on high strings , sharp fret ends , questionable fret crowns.. questionable electronics Guitar looks beautiful no physical damage , but overall playability and quality control is horrendous , literally the worst quality I’ve ever seen for a $1k guitar . I guess Fender fanboys consider these problems normal , I guess along with the brand name you get issues . I’ve bought “budget” friendly guitars that were beyond better than this . I hope this was just a bad one from a bad batch , because this is just not acceptable . ... show more

  • Nice guitar, but had a significant scratch and dent in the body
The guitar itself is a fine guitar. However, this is a perfect example of why I would normally stick with in-person buying, or Sweetwater. This tele came with some significant body damage (no effect at all on the playability or sound, but a new guitar shouldn’t have that amount of damage). Also, the setup on the guitar was horrible. Nothing that can’t be fixed by someone who has basic setup knowledge, but it shouldn’t have come as terribly setup as it was. Edit: thankfully, Amazon returns are simple. I’ve received the replacement, and it is damage free and quite nice. However, not only was the setup bad on this as well, but the nut slots were way too wide on the unwound strings. This made it borderline unplayable without having work done to the nut. Disappointing, but I’ll keep this one. ... show more

  • Great Guitar, Amazing Price
Wasn’t really in the market but had always wanted a tele and when I saw this price couldn’t resist. Convinced myself it was going to have some major issue but as far as I can tell it’s exactly as advertised. As another reviewer mentioned the wood grain doesn’t match perfectly between sections but mine is close enough that no one would notice. Action feels a little high out of the box but want to break it in for a few weeks before adjusting. My best guess is some retailer in the UK had excess inventory…the box and some stickers/tags indicated UK. There was an interesting sticker on the box that said “pick this carton last” - don’t know if that came from Fender or the original retailer and I can’t figure out why. Overall extremely happy with the guitar and especially for the price. ... show more

  • Issues with ordering and condition
First issue I had, was that my order was cancelled after 2 weeks of waiting for it to ship due to it being "stuck in processing" which was stated by an Amazon rep. Had to place order again, but when I received the guitar it had several issues, such as a poorly matched body, knicks in the finish, a dent in the tail and a half dead bridge pickup. Got a partial refund, but had to deal with fender and get the run around, taking it to a local tech for inspection and having them ship a replacement. The replacement was slightly better, but had a large chip out of the poly clear coat on the headstock and dips in a few spots on the neck. Fender agreed to have me send the guitar to them directly and they would have another fully inspected by a manager before it was sent out to me. 3rd time was the charm, sort of. No issues with the body, pickups or neck from what I can tell, but there were several spots that looked like long scratches that ended up being some adhesive substance that was able to be cleaned away using a guitar mist and wipe cleaner. I am overall happy with the guitar in the end, but the process getting there was painfully tedious and drawn out. ... show more

  • Great sounding guitar, great finish and plays great
Picked this up for almost 50% off on Amazon. Great deal on a great guitar. I like the noiseless pickups and the extra strat pickup. Lets you get some very unique tones out of the guitar. I had no problems with feedback with them using a blues overdrive, distortion and fuzz pedal or cranking the gain up on amp. The fit and finish of the guitar is great. Frets are super smooth and rounded nicely. The guitar is super easy to play. Really not sure a USA made fender would be much nicer but I don't have one to compare it to I have a Player HSS Strat, Epiphone 1959 Les paul with Burstbuckers, Gretsch Electromatic and a Taylor Mini. ... show more

  • Amazing guitar
I grabbed 2 of these when the price hit 608. The neck is really the star here with the rounded edges and satin back. It's packed with features that make this a winner - locking tuners, Noiseless pickups. The deluxe gig bag is nice as well.
