Description

The Signature Axe of a Rock Icon! Led by Joe Strummer, The Clash's punk, rockabilly, dub, and ska anthems captured the gritty sounds of London’s modern multicultural landscape like lightning in a bottle. Strummer was never a flashy guitarist (by his own admission), but he’s nevertheless a rock icon who showed off what a few simple Telecaster strums and some heartfelt lyrics can accomplish. The new Joe Strummer Road Worn Telecaster from Fender captures the attitude and character of the 1966 Telecaster Strummer trusted for most of his career. From tech specs like vintage-voiced pickups, a modified 6-saddle Tele bridge, and an eclectic Road Worn finish, this guitar grabs the spirit of Strummer's beloved workhorse and doesn't let go. Death or glory? This guitar chose glory! The right profile When pulling double-duty on vocals and rhythm guitar like Joe Strummer does, a comfortable guitar that does the job simply and does

  • Very nice telecaster
Color: 3-Color Chocolate Burst
I’m a big fan of this guitar. I bought one from another site (Amazon didn’t have any at the time) and I have been quite pleased with it! The relic wear on the guitar is light and tasteful, well done I think. The guitar has a moderate 60s C shape neck, and the narrow/tall frets drew great. I think the pickups are quite nice too, the neck pickup sounds like a strat neck pickup so you can get those stratocaster sounds if you want, the bridge seems like a hotter Tele bridge pickup that is still bright enough to sound like a Tele. The middle position sounds super nice with the tone rolled back a little too. Overall, I think this is an excellent guitar and I think it compares favorably to the Performers and others in the same price range. It doesn’t feel like the other Made In Mexico fenders Inhave tried, which have been uneven - this is quite a fine guitar. ... show more

  • Great sound and feel
Color: 3-Color Chocolate Burst
This sounds amazing. The pickups are great. Mine did come with a bad nut which made my G touch the 1st fret. But Fender gave me options and I am going to visit a licensed tech. You can really feel the guitar’s vibration when strumming.
