My old pickguard was warped so I bought another. Went with mint green over the stock parchment. Perfect fit for my Player Series MIM. I like the look of the aged white accessories with mint green pickguard on my buttercream Strat.

Ok look. You're probably reading the reviews wondering two things: 1) Will this fit my guitar? 2) Is the mint green color an accurate representation of the aged celluoid pickguards of the 50's & 60's? The color is spot on. It isn't too green at all. In fact, in some lights I can't even really tell if it is off white or green. Now -- Genuine Stratocaster pickguards did change over the years. The general outer outline and pickup locations remained the same. The biggest differences are the screw hole locations. It will still fit any Fender or Squier Stratocaster type guitar without a Floyd Rose locking type tremolo, but you may have to drill some new holes. As for a non Fender Strat-like-object, it probably will but you're just going to have to buy this and hold it up against the old one to find out. Drilling new holes is easy. Put a few screws in the holes that DO line up and use a 1/16” (~1.5mm) drill bit. Attach a piece of tape 1/2” (~13mm) up the bit as a drill stop. If there are holes that are slightly off center, you'll need to fill those holes and redrill. Not as complicated as it sounds. Check YouTube for how to do this. This is a quality made piece, it's a great match for color and the one I received doesn't seem to be counterfeit. Looks like legit Fender. ... show more

Perfect fit for new Squier Bullet. Two ply top quality from Fender. Matched on Tropical Turquoise on my Strat with Fender aged pu covers and knobs. Hard tail model so no need for trem cover. Lots of comments on “fits or not” but no issues For me.

This product was the real deal made in USA "Fender" product. Especially with mint green pickguards and backplates it is always best to use actual Fender products. Short story - Long before it was classic I lent my '69 Strat out and when it came back it had a chrome pick guard and knobs - the originals tossed in the trash. It then remained cased and unplayed until my wife gave me a wedding present of a "restoration", the attention of a great luthier and return to white. Lately I've wanted to restore it to how it should look, faded plastic and all. I learned that pre-CBS Strat's pickguards were celluloid and faded to a very light green tint. While mine is not pre-CBS, I went with that and "aged" knobs. The pup covers are original so they had to match. The results are better than expected. Colors are great, easy to install and holes lined up perfect. Highly recommended. Maybe some day when my ship comes in I'll drop $600 plus on a real original guard (sigh) but for now this is more than adequate. ... show more

One of the best things about Fender Stratocasters is how easy they are to modify and make your own. One of the easiest places to start is with the pickguard. I got this mint green one to put on an Olympic white American standard model and I'm very pleased with the way it looks. I also got an aged white accessories kit to use with it which gives it a real vintage look. If you want to save a few bucks, you can just soak the knobs, pickup covers, etc in coffee and it'll age them up real nice as well. Adding these to my guitar make it look similar to the '62 Vintage Hot Rod model but with the modern niceties such as the 2 point tremolo, 22 frets and easy truss rod access.
