Ordered this footswitch for my Fender Champion 40 amp, and believe me this is THE model you need for your Champion to function correctly. Other footswitches may or may not work properly with this amp, but this one seems to be made for it. Too bad it wasn't included with the amp, and I think that may be just a price point thing because the amp was indeed very affordable. Anyhow, it allows you to switch between channels with the first button and turn the effects on / off with the second button. Quiet switching, and I like the bright LED's which tell you in a flash which one is engaged, an unexpectedly convenient feature that I can't believe other brands don't utilize. Unlike other reviewers, mine did indeed come with a cord, lightweight but fully functional and will serve my uses OK for a while. The unit itself is metal, heavy-weight and made well, so I expect it to last for years. The only down side to this switch (if you can call it that) the bottom rails lack any rubber feet, which may make it prone to scooting over a slick floor, so I glued some small strips of rubber on it and now it's good to go. The Champion 40 is a great little amp, and now with this footswitch it is a lot easier to use. I HIGHLY recommend this switch if you have the Champion 40, and it will help bring out it's full potential in a live performance setting for sure. GET ONE!

The fender footswitch came very well packaged , brand new looking and it comes with the cable needed to hook it up . It works with the Fender Champion ii 50 watt so far perfectly . It will turn on the effect you have pre-selected ,but does not scroll through them . Quality from Fender . Was impressed at how well it was packaged and how well it looks and works . Not for all Fender Amps - READ

Channel switch on my 1996 Fender Hot Rod Deville 410 footswitch, was broken. Found replacement, but it was almost $20 shipped. Saw this for $25, noted different Fender part# and different markings ('Channel' and 'Effects' vs. mine's 'Channel' and 'Drive/More Drive'), but hoped it would work, and if not, hoped its switches would be identical. SO... it doesn't work, exactly. It switches channels, but the 'Effect' right switch doesn't switch drive/more drive. Circuit boards significantly different. BUT... Ithe PCB mount switches are pin/size compatible. SO, I bought this nice, shiny new $25 footswitch and cannabalized it for two $20 switches (and a $10 jack if I ever need it). Ten minutes on the workbench transferring one switch, and my old footswitch works perfectly - and I've got a spare switch and jack. Overall, a favorable result. The switches are PCB mount, latching SPDT and match the old PCB perfectly. They are almost physically the same - just about 2mm shorter, but not a problem. The 'feel' of these new switches is stiffer - maybe just 30yrs of wear. SO... NO - it won't work for (all) 90's era HRD amps, but it's physical parts (box, plate, switches, jack) are all usable for repairing the old footswitches. If you can get switches cheaper - just buy the switches, but this is a viable repair option.

Switch for Fender Champion XL 50

I used this switch for our Fender Champion XL 50 amp and so far it's working perfectly. Has a clear channel option, distortion channel option and you can click on effects with either channel. Just set the amp effects where you want them and you can toggle it on or off. I use other effects pedals while on the clear channel such as the EVH 5150 Overdrive. This footswitch is a must have for an XL 50 amp in my opinion, you can't beat this price either. Get one!

I bought a Fender FM65 DSP Amp locally for cheap - but it came without a foot switch. Enter Amazon, and the OEM Fender foot switch designed to fit the amp - at a good price. The switch functions perfectly, and I am pleased with my purchase. I've noticed most of these used amps are missing the foot switch. If your tempted to buy an amp at a good price without a foot switch, a new, factory issue one is available at Amazon.
