I will add photos later. 4x 2.5 disks. 8x 5# disks This allows a number of different combinations up to a 50# barbell or 2x 25-30# dumbells. I haven't tried the kettle ball yet but I think you could get 25# (5 disks It only takes a few seconds to piece together a full barbell. Transition should be pretty smooth to go between weights or dumbbell/barbell. To be honest though, I should of bought the 70# or even the 90#. I typically can't bench more than 50#, my arms are thin. this gives me a nice range to work up to another level. or at least stay toned. This might be good for a teenager who is new to working out. The investment is nominal and if I stop using it I won't mind the cost and can donate it to charity later. If I step up to the next levels I will be able to have barbells and dumbbells' together and a fuller set and have a smoother workout. There is no reason to scoff that these are plastic. They are most likely sand or a concrete under a polymer shell. They make it easier to handle and cheaper to make but without sacrificing quality. There is no real reason to have metal or lead for weights that make them more expensive. Thermo plastic is fine. I would not slam or drop these, but you don't need to soft handle them either. ... show more

I read many reviews before purchasing to make sure these were sturdy, easy to use and a good value. I can check off each of these after I've been using them for a while. The instructions were easy to grasp right off and they're a great part of my home gym. Only drawbacks 1) I'll need to order another set to increase weight eventually and 2) Although the process of adding/subtracting plates to the dumbbell/barbell is simple, it's not instant....you have to twist off the cap, then twist it back on....not hard, just takes a little time in between sets. But, that's reflected in the low price I suppose. ... show more

I've made a few purchases on my weight-improvement journey and these weights are by far one of my favorite; both in terms of versatility and price-per-use value. I find myself being able to utilize these to exercise out of the comfort of my home zoning out in front of netflix -- and at my own order and pace instead of managing equipment use with other members at my gym. You can combine even one set of these in a bunch of different ways and it's a great training set to bring you up to a maximum weight goal. My advice would be to buy the reasonable max weight you want to lift and then order that so you can combine the different weight plates to bring you up to that lifting ability. Love, Love, Love this set. Deff getting another in a different weight when I'm further in my journey so I can have heavier options but it is for sure worth the price as that is not an overnight process. The ability to have kettlebell handles on your dumbbells saves transition time and I love using the kettlebell handles for farmers walks or just using them as plank hand-holds. Maybe just that if you’re switching between different weights it may get a bit annoying to have to adjust them after every set but for an at home dumbbell set i really can’t complain.
