I have put these shoes through hell working all summer, traveling to Ireland and walking around Europe for 4 months, etc. Although they're not waterproof, they were the most ideal and comfortable shoes I've worn in a long time with no feet, back, or neck pain at all. Before buying these shoes, I got a neck massager because my back hurt so much from standing for 5-8 hours straight, and after I got these shoes, I didn't need to use it anymore. These shoes have wonderful cushioning & are very comfortable to do long walks. They are true to size & the fabric allows my feet to breath in the hot weather. The thickness of the treads provide good slip resistance when I walk in the rain on hills.
