I was disappointed when I saw the box on my porch that appeared to have been air dropped minus a parachute. Upon opening the remainder of the box there was another box that housed the item that was damaged nearly as bad. I expected the worst and sure enough it came. The cast iron holder was broken and the piece that had broke off must have fell out of the swiss cheese like boxes. I remembered reading in the reviews about the great customer service and man they weren't lying. I contacted them, sent a picture and order number and bam! In no time there was a whole new set delivered by a different carrier (thanks USPS) in an unscathed package, product undamaged, built well, solid steel not tubing. I couldn't be happier. This company deserves 10 stars......... Thanks again

This is a pretty standard fireplace set but it is well made and well worth the cost. I've lifted a couple 3-in diameter logs and the tongs hold up.

I grew up with a fireplace and we had a great set of heavy duty black iron . Same set if available would be 1000 bucks. These are not those but are very solid and work very well. The log grabber handles well for being only 2 points of contact. Very simple to put together but I used channel locks so they won’t ever unscrew. Handles are solid not hollow.
