  • Great for the job
These are large, sturdy and easy to move around. I bought the hand rakes, too, so it makes picking up leaves and pine needles effortless. Great buy.

  • Decent yard-waste relocation sacks
I call these "relocation sacks because for me, and probably for most, that'll be their use case, since they're not the sort of waste bags you could leave at the curb for trash or yard-waste recycling (in any event, they wouldnt be reuseable if they were), and you'd have to either empty them into a yard waste bag or dump the contents into a compost pile or other yard area you dump collected yard waste. As an initial note, where I am it's still late-winter, about 20F, with several inches of snow on the ground, and I received these recently so I can't yet attest to their durability during normal seasonal use which is probably the most important thing, so I get that I can't yet comment on the most important factor. I have opened the package and put together one sack. The package comes with 3 sacks, each with its own plastic loop that you thread through the eyelets around the upper part of the sack to keep the sacks fully open, and I had no trouble inserting this. Yes, the bags do have a plasticky-smell as another commenter noted, but since they'll primarily be used outside that shouldn't matter. With these consisting of tarp-like material, I anticipate they'll be somewhat durable, but I am concerned for my use case, that'll involve tossing in them a lot of twigs and small braches along with leaves and other debris as I do yard cleanup (around an acre of yard that leads on a couple sides down a wooded hill where I'll either carry or drag them down the hill to dump material) that they won't necessarily hold up to long. That strong assumption is premised in large part on reading numerous reviews of what look to me to be identically-constructed products where numerous folks mention that shortcoming. Especially when the bags are weighed down with contents, I can already foresee either the handles won't hold up long if I need to try to carry, or that other materials on the ground will puncture the bottoms if I need to drag. It's also not just a theoretical worry, as I got these in part because a few months ago I managed to break the molded plastic handle of a large heavy duty plastic yard waste can that I'd used for well over a decade as I tried to drag it down the hill loaded with probably ~100 pounds of small branches I'd loped off a fallen tree in the yard. These sacks would obviously not take anywhere near that sort of use/abuse, but I do anticipate giving them a good workout. I fully understand they're not intended as a permanent solutionand but if I can get ~3 seasons' use from them it'd justify their cost and I'd be pleased. ... show more

  • Good value - does the job
Good value. Assembly is straight forward but will take a few minutes.

  • Unexpectedly big! A good thing!
Big! Really big! I was thinking this was a 55 gallon bag. It’s 72, not 55. Deep and wide. Easy set up and breakdown.

  • OK value, takes a bit of work to assemble, and doesn't fold back up neatly for storage.
So these things work - hold a lot of material, probably don't want to make it too heavy though - this is a leaf bag. To assemble, there's stiff rods that you fish through the top like a waistband in a pair of sweats. Not that hard to do - but takes some time and effort, and if you want to reuse these - it is also a pain to remove, and they won't fold up nearly as nicely and small as they came. I'd consider these one project use. Ie Cleaning up the leaves over a couple days where they won't be disassembled. They'll likely not hold up for long term use - so something you'll need to evaluate when considering. I'd rate its value for money as fair. The included gloves smell like chemicals and are approximately a mens medium or large in size (I wear XL gloves and these were too small). ... show more

  • Wear resistance and large capacity makes these a good reusable set of bags for garden projects
This three-pack of reusable lawn bags is great for me to collect leaves for composting. If you have a garden, you might also have a compost pile like me. For an effective compost mix, you need green material (fresh kitchen veggie/fruit scraps) and brown material (fallen leaves, shredded paper, cardboard). Typically you need 2-3 times as much brown material than green. So, when spring and summer come around and brown material runs short, these bags can hold my surplus of fall leaves. Other than leaves, they can be used for lawn clippings or gathering fallen twigs, nuts, or trash; or as storage containers for towels or toys; or flip them cover to a rain barrel or a hedge in winter. I can also use these to hold finished compost until ready to use in the garden. The woven material resists tears, though you will need to use care when dragging it across the yard or sidewalk. A heavy load makes the bottom more prone to snagging or abrasions when pulling across any twigs, rocks, or on pavement. I do expect these bags to last forever, but they are economical and tough enough to last a few seasons. When not in use, they fold down flat for easy storage. The wide mouth is easy to load when properly set up. The rim of the mouth has a channel that you run an included nylon hoop line through before use. This hoop prevents the mouth from collapsing in on itself, so filling each bag can be done by one person without assistance. Filling a bag to the top can make it quite heavy, especially if leaves are not completely dry. The sewn-on handles are helpful for maneuvering across a lawn though. There are side loops lower down the sides that can be gripped when you need to dump the contents. A pair of rubber-dipped fabric gloves are included. These can be useful, but similar pairs I've owned do not last very long. The rubber decays, gets sticky, and the fingers get stuck together after a short period of time, especially in the hotter months. ... show more
