it's really too bad that the mfg of these stakes doesn't use a real picture for advertising. I ordered these hoping they would do the job, and I was very pleasantly surprised when they arrived. These stakes are very heavy duty and thick. I expected much less for the price. These will last a very long time! I would definitely order these again!

I used these to anchor our animatronics this year to both prevent snatch-and-grabs, and to keep the top-heavy animatronics upright and stable. In the morning they were easily hammered into the ground with a hand sledge. I hammered the crooks down over the metal frame. They held fast and provided resistance when pulling or tugging on the animatronics. I used two per decoration. When it was time to put them away at night, they came out easy by holding the top of the stake and twisting it side to side to loosen the soil around it. I can absolutely recommend them for this purpose.
