This inflatable gymnastics mat is awesome! And you don’t really realize how long 13 feet is until you have it laid out, but it’s big. It’s enough for my seven year-old to do three somersaults in a row or two cartwheels. While it can definitely be used for gymnastics. It can also be used as just a general tumble mat. If I were going to make any complaint about it, it would be that I wish it was a little bit wider – like maybe a foot wider, but this is in line with the other tumble mats that I have looked at on Amazon. While this company only sells this single pad, if you look at similar listings, you can buy them in different lengths, widths, and thicknesses. This one is about a meter wide, but they do come in double wide sizes as well. That being said, even if 2m wide were an option from this company that would be just too big for my house. It seems very durable, so while I continue to yell at my dog for climbing all over it, his nails do not appear to be causing any issues. In fact, it seems quite rugged and I think you would have to be very incautious to put a hole in this. And in case you do, it comes with patches. I don’t believe it comes with glue, but perhaps they are self adhesive, I honestly don’t recall. There is also a random tool that comes in the box that I cannot figure out its purpose. The directions, while useful as far as telling you how to roll and unroll the pad, leave much to be desired in terms of greater detail. You will figure out which pump head to use through trial and error, but if you look at the way the cap is notched, you should be able to find a nozzle tip that has similar notching in it. The pump that comes with it works very well and quickly, and both inflates and deflates the mattress expeditiously. Though I have not consciously tried to overinflate the mattress, I believe you would burn out the pump before the mattress popped. And again, while I’m not positive, I believe the type of valve on there will evacuate any dangerously high-pressure. But if not, you can simply push in on the spring valve and let air out. So the only real con is the price. At $199 it stands at among the most expensive tumble mats you can buy on Amazon. If you follow links to similar items, you will see virtually identical looking inflatable pads for $160 or less. You may see them for as low as $99, but if you look closely, those are not the same size. But for the same $200 odd dollars, you can get one that is 8 inches thick instead of four, 20 feet long instead of 13, or 2 m wide instead of one. And if you’re willing to go up to $300 you can get all of that in the same mattress. So while I don’t think the price is unreasonable, it is clearly one of many that are all manufactured together, en masse, and clearing could be sold at a significantly lower price point. The mats the same, the pumps look the same, and while I haven’t ordered the other ones to compare, I believe they’re probably close too, if not completely, identical. As a purely, big picture assessment of this mattress, it’s excellent and I’m very happy with the purchase
