This was relatively easy to assemble. (the first shelf took a little experimenting, but once I figured it out, the rest were very quick). I bought two of these a little over three months ago and I have to admit that I am impressed. While the assembly is a bit interesting and sometimes requires three hands, I'm pretty sure that isn't unique to this particular brand/model. I think they're all that way. As to the quality, I am very pleasantly surprised that they are as well built as they are, especially considering that they're one of the least expensive on Amazon. They hold a LOT of weight. First I just want to say, that this review took me time to due because of other things in my life to deal with. Now the stand itself was pretty easy to put together. The last rack that I took out of the box was bent. So it went to the top of the stand. I use this stand for light food, but I put a couple of semi-heavy items on the bottom. These racks are a good value for the price. They are easy to put together in ~10 minutes without tools. Despite not requiring tools, the way the racks are put together is in such a way that won't compromise the stability. They are sturdy enough to accommodate a significant amount of weight. However, I wouldn't call them heavy duty, as the thinner rods that go across each shelf are fairly fragile if weight is unevenly distributed. ... show more

Wow, light, easy to assemble and sturdy as heck! I had the big heavy metal frames, but then had to move and it really sucked to move them. These shelves are great - nearly as strong, but a fraction of the weight and easy to take apart or put together. I used without the wheels, but that would make it easier to move loaded. I wanted more stability. That said, I so miss a solid shelf so it may be hard to put small things that could fall between the wires on them, but you can lay down a thin piece of plywood or sheeting to fix that.     • Affordable shelving with so much storage!

I needed this for a bedroom to hold a TV, consoles, and to store a few larger items that were too bulky for what little closet space I have. This shelf is large and the measurements almost perfectly fit into my available wall space Assembly was about 30 minutes -- I could have done it myself, but it was easier having someone to help align and hold the shelves as I dropped them in place Aligning the shelves is as simple as clamping down with a plastic piece and sliding the shelf over it. Gravity and weight will squeeze the shelf to the support, keeping it from moving once in place. I used a rubber mallet to very gently tap everything into place It works best if you have a small piece of wood to spread the weight over the entire shelf surface. You can hold something like a TV or computer monitor on the shelf, but it is most stable with something under it. I recommend securing this to the wall because the shelf is very tall and could possibly be tipped over by a child that mistakes this for a jungle gym I appreciate the sturdiness, the solid metal, and having the extra storage space. In context, my house is laid out so badly that I remain convinced the people who built it could not have lived here for extended periods of time -- little usable closet space, terrible tiny cabinets, and a floor plan that wastes every inch of space it can. This is very sturdy and seems to be good quality. The shipping on these is very slow-I've ordered a few and I'm not sure if any of them arrived when they were supposed to.
