It started on the first pull and has been running great ever since on my 14sb John Deere. I have had issues getting fuel to it. I'm not sure if that's a fuel line problem or something though. Hopefully nothing wrong with the carb pulling fuel in.

Worked great on my jd 14sb. Very easy to change out, started up on first pull. No adjusting needed. The one gasket that came with, there was one that i had to cut a little to make and bolt go through, but other than that i am very happy.

Had to use the old gaskets because the new ones that came with the carburetor did not fit. See the photo to compare the difference between what was sent versus what is shown in product image; do not match. The butterfly clips were too small and had to use ones I had on hand instead. Also, the fuel filter is not sealed. It was leaking gasoline everywhere. Discovered it needed to be hand tightened by twisting, screwing it together. If the fuel filter leaks again, then I'll remove it. Fuel filters were not original to the lawn mower. Despite these problems, once the carburetor was installed, the 1996 John Deere 14SB started first pull. Been running like a champ ever since. All it needed was a new carburetor after sitting idyll in the garage for 7 years.

I ordered this for my John Deer 14SB mower as the float bowl O ring on my current carburetor started leaking and I could not find the proper O ring. This carburetor appeared well made and it arrived promptly, but the gaskets included were not correct so I returned it.

It said it would fit my Deere lawnmower engine, but when it arrived the mounting holes did not match at all. Return was easy, and after disassembly and a thorough cleaning with carb cleaner I put the old one back on and it fired up like new.
