I researched tumble tracks for a long time before buying. After settling on a brand for quality and price, I had the hardest time deciding on a length and thickness. I took a chance and ordered the thinner option which ended up being perfect. Another review said the thicker was over kill and this thinner is just right plus I shudder to think what would happen with the thicker if you just happened to get too close to the edge. After deciding on thickness, I had to decide on length. Obviously longer is better but after reading reviews and watching videos (and measuring my indoor space), I decided to order two 10 foot pieces and I'll tell you why this is better. First, it's way easier to move two 10 foot mats versus one super long one, also easier to store (inflated). Second, you get an extra pump. We haven't had any problems with ours but we'll have a backup just in case. Of note, there is a vinyl cover with velcro to attach the two pieces so that it is one seamless long track. Oh, also, two shorter were cheaper than one long. Super happy with my decision! Bought for my daughter to practice her back tuck and back handspring something-or-other (can't remember the name because I'm not a gymnast) for cheer. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great for teaching basic skills - also great for more advanced tumbling and can easily be combined with other mats for safety (on foam core mats and/or add crash mats above). If teaching difficult skills new to a participant - get a wider inflatable mat OR ensure you have mats you can stack on both sides of the inflatable mat to add element of safety in case participant accidentally tumbles on a slight diagonal. The 8" mat gives decent bounce but if you are really looking for more lift, go for a thicker mat. We use this mat at various sites that need to be set up at every class (not left as a permanent set up) and the ease of inflating and deflating has been great - beats carrying around a ton of panel mats. The mat inflates and deflates quickly. The hardest part is getting it back in the carry bag. Once you get the hang of it, it’s not too bad, but it doesn’t fit if you roll it up the way it came. You need to roll it when it’s totally flattened. My eight year old daughter loves it, but I think I would order a wider one if I had it to do again. Sometimes I am worried she won’t land on it.
