Simple as that, I'm disapointed
Why am I disapointed? - flight time is very limited ~8min -drohne is not stable, you need to work like hell to keep it on track, the promised license for the trainer was already used and I was unable to use it myself - support did not reply till today to this and therefore I have no license for the simulator. (which should be included) --> so that is why I am strongly disapointed One Star is only for the nice Shark design. Sopport - no star / Flight performance - no star / Additional features (flight simulator) - no star / happy owner - no star

Strap in and hold on. You are in for a wild ride
This kit has been both a blessing and a curse. With sports cancelled as a result of the pandemic, I came across an airing of a Drone Racing League race on ESPN 2. Watching the quads zip around in first person view was fascinating. So, I decided I needed to try. This was a perfect all-in-one kit to give me all the components I needed to try it out. The Fatshark 101 did exactly what it was supposed to do. The online support from Fatshark is detailed and helped get me going in the right direction immediately. If you are not interested in spending some time reading through the support pages, this is probably not the kit for you. Note that this is not a stable platform like the DJI Mavic, that will give you stunning, high resolution photography the first time you fly it. Instead, this is an agile, fast, maneuverable drone, suitable for racing or acrobatics. It seems unlikely that anyone could pick this up and naturally have the skills to fly it right out of the box (hence the recommendation to start on the simulator). The reward is in developing the skills to make it fly through a tiny hoop and do flips, and the thrill of feeling like you are at the wheel of a jet fighter. So, if you are looking for something easy, try the Mavic. If you are looking for a fun challenge, this is the right kit. Be warned that the Fatshark 101 is a gateway drug. This is an introduction to a hobby that will force you to develop familiarity with electrical engineering and computer programming to spend hours tweaking and customizing. Eventually, you will decide that you need to upgrade everything and buy more quads in different sizes. Think of this like a starter set of golf clubs.

A review from a veteran in the FPV community.
Let me start by saying that I have been in the FPV drone community for many years and I bought this kit for my brother who was interested in the FPV scene. This is an amazing value if you get the kit on sale ($190 or below) I waited and was able to grab the entire kit for $114 with free shipping. I also ordered more batteries, which I highly recommend that you do to. The batteries last about 4-5 mins depending on you flying style. The goggles fit my brother and I perfectly and great reception in my home and at the park where we fly it regularly. I get about 80 ft of range in any direction when I flying outside. The transmitter has a great feel in the hands and is super simple to operate. The drone is durable enough for the speed it can achieve. You will see a lot of people saying that there DRL simulator code doesn't work and that was the case for me. However, Fatshark is known for their customer service. All I did was email with my code and told them that it didn't work and they sent me a new one the very next day. All I can say is that the kit has a really high quality feel. Nothing feels cheap here. It's a great buy for anyone wanting to dip their foot into the FPV drone community. Hope this helps!

Great goggles and remote, awful drone.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I gave this drone 3/5 stars for one reason. The goggles are sufficient, nothing earth shattering or innovative. They work well enough and are reliable. The remote is designed well and all the toggles and joysticks are easily reached during flight. My only gripe is the drone is simply poorly designed. I had mine for maybe a week before taking a hard crash indoors and the camera was cracked irreparably. Whoever decided to mount the camera this obviously wasn’t thinking about the long term viability of a camera positioned in front of the propeller guards and mounted directly to the drone itself in such a way that it cannot be replaced or repaired. Get yourself a Mobula 6 RTF kit and save yourself some money and frustration.

Good Entry level FPV Drone, but not great.
Good Entry level FPV Drone, but not great. Easy to fly and fairly crash tough. The FPV Goggles cut the top my nose repeatedly until I put a piece of weather strip foam in place. The batteries only last 3-4 minutes at best. Range for the Goggles is pretty poor. My experience was 50 to 70 feet in a large open warehouse until you get lines on the screen, much worse through walls. So some drawbacks but still a good Entry Level FPV Drone. If you buy it, do yourself a favor and get extra props and batteries.

Everything you need right out of the box
I've goofed around with toy drones before but never FPV. Not an experienced pilot. The training videos were helpful if just to let me know that I was going to stink at flying this. Which was totally true. The 8 minutes of flight time was not much, but 8 minutes at a time daily for about a week and I'm flying around the porch like I know what I'm doing! The simulator code said it had already been used but I emailed customer support and they had a new code for me within 24 hours of my opening the box. For a novice like me I can't imagine a better starter kit! This feels very carefully designed by pros who understand what a newcomer would need to start flying and keep flying!

Video range is horrible! Inside the house, I can't see from one room to the next. Outside, front yard only amd from front door to mailbox I will drop signal. Blades have held up, butbhad a motor fail, with less then 3-4 hours total flight time. Too fast, big for indoor living room style flying Better suited for outdoor speed, but no range to back it up. Goggles are good. Controller is nice size and familiar. BUT FLYSKY will not be my radio of choice, so I may only ever use it on my simulator. Overall, simulator is a better trainer, I would go a different direction if I was to start over, or if making beginner recommendations
