    • Fantastic Game!
Loved this game so much it is the reason I upgraded to a PS4. The Playstation 3 version does not allow online play; and will restrict the number of implements you can have on your farm. The gameplay is amazing on either system; would recommend either version of this game.

Bought this for our teenage son and he is thoroughly enjoying it! His friends like it too! We were all a little apprehensive at first, not sure it if would be a game worth the money or would keep the interest. Happy to say that neither are the case! The details, graphics, are all surprisingly realistic and packed with many surprises and discoveries throughout the game so far. Great game at a great price! ... show more

Okay, maybe I over-reacted; I see visual improvements, and physic improvements, and I like the suspension movements over rough terrain. I also like the multi-silo. The similar color palettes and the familiar road colors do still seem the same as the prior releases, and those goofy maps - with no keys or legends - to me, are the exact same as before. This area has needed the most work since the game's inception. It definitely the best looking version yet, but possibly lacking in equipment? At times there is only one brand for specific tasks - baling comes to mind - when I assumed they would stack some prior equipment with the new. In the end I guess it's no issue, mods will flood in, hopefully some official releases as well. The cruise control is useless now; every tractor I've ever driven in my life had a throttle lever with AT LEAST three positions marked out or lockable throughout the range. Now I find only one speed, and it is SLOW. Can this be right? Long hauls back with empty trailers and I have only 1st gear?! Useless. I don't like having to bring up the options menu to turn the map off, either. I'm still torn, so 3 stars. Best farming sim out there, hands down, but needs something new soon in it's belly, not just makeup to the face. Original post: (try to forgive) Not enough improvements for 2 years of development at the current price. It's the same as FS13, but with logging. The graphic and physic improvements are minuscule, the maps (only 2 again), feel the same, and I've yet to find the "awesome redesigned menus and map" they talk about; they just scroll it horizontally now instead of vertically. Well, they also stripped some sub levels, but it's no better, in a lot of ways it's worse. For example, the bottom right 'current vehicle' display window is so tiny, so jumbled and confusing, and the (former) 'PDA' map is still stupidly hard to discern, even maximized... How? Why? Two years!! Millions of prior sales. Bafflingly. Truly a step backwards. I'm actually really mad that I bought this 'pass off' from them, and I'm a guy with WAY too many hours in FS13. No development, no originality, equals no good feeling giving you my money to rehash the same game to me two years later. Oh, they have multiplayer now, I think, but that doesn't interest me. My griping aside, if you haven't played Farming Simulator yet, sure, start with this one, but that's a no brainer. If you have FS13, wait for the price to drop, it's a $20 game for those of us who are familiar with the franchise; same 3 animals to keep, same feeling and looking maps, buildings and 3D objects are rendered about the same, and it's now even way easier to get ahead and prosper. It IS the best farming sim out there, and you will learn a lot about equipment and such, but I guess after two years and all their success I was looking for some more innovation. To me, it's as if a different team recoded the same kernel as FS13. :( ... show more

It is a game that takes time but it is one like no other, all the different things you get to do in the game is amazing. If I were to pick a down side is that you don't get to buy a house and have a place to sleep, the game plays all throughout the night. Other than that I have really enjoyed it. Whole family loves this. I grew up Oma Dairy Farm and my husband worked on one for 10 years. My brother and his family also farm and we all love the game and were pleasantly surprised to find many things true to life including the prices!
