These curtains provide a good moderate filtering of sunlight. The light floral design brightens up our sun room and the grey background provides the darkening. I actually have 10 windows in the sun room that need covering so I won’t be able to fully assess how it does or doesn’t help with the temperature until I get the 4 more packages I just ordered. We live in an area that is currently in 100 degree temperatures so it will be easy to see if this helps or not during the brutal daytime. The curtains are lightweight and soft to the touch and with the grommets that just slip over the curtain rods in a few seconds. They came folded in a package and were completely wrinkle free and ready to hang right out of it!! These are sewn nice, they grommets are attached well. They are definitely light blocking and will work perfect in my room. My only complaint is I selected the color grey and the image looked like all the colors in the design were gray versions. Upon receiving them, the speckled background design is actually a tan.
