I purchased these to protect my arms against a new puppy's sharp nails, and so far they are doing a good job. As I've gotten older, my skin is thinning and I look like I lost a knife fight after the puppy greets me with happy jumping. The sleeves have absolutely saved me from innumerable new cuts and scrapes. They also work in the garden when trimming thorny bushes. They do make my arms a little warmer than bare skin, but seem to be cooler than wearing a long sleeved shirt. I would recommend these if you need the protection. They seem to be a little more sturdy than purely sun-protection sleeves, such as I have for bicycling.

When purchasing, I measured my arm, and I am right on the edge of two sizes, so I bought one of each, I ended up keeping the bigger size and giving my sister (miss petite) the smaller of the two. Each of us love them, stay up on the arm without cutting circulation. I am using it more of allergies than sun protection, love my tomatoes and so much more, but my skin does not. These have really helped with the itchy skin, so I don't have to go inside and soap up my arms periodically to keep the rashes down. I put these on when working around deep plants and voila! Have a second pair now so I can wash and hang dry each day and still have a dry pair for the next day if needed.

I use these in the summer while driving my car. I know they are for farming but they also serve as great protection from the sun while driving and I don't have to put on a jacket or sweater to protect my arms. They slide on easily and I love the colors. I ordered another pair with a different pattern but they are far too small. Be sure and try them on as soon as you receive them and if they are too small exchange for a larger size. I'm sure I'll be ordering another pair when these wear out.

Love the designs, and the sun protection features. These are very soft and comfortable. They will not keep sharp plants from punching through, but will make normal gardening more enjoyable and less scratches. With these , when it’s hot outside, you can wear short sleeve shirts and still protect your hands and arms. Great opening at the thumb to keep the sleeve in place.
