TLDR-Definitely recommend if you are looking for something fun (meaning not plain) for a young kids room which isn't plastic. My little boy is completely obsessed with trucks, like seriously obsessed. I've been trying to find fun furniture or decor to spice up his room which reflect his interests. Which as it turns out is surprisingly difficult in the furniture department for a toddler, unless you want plastic cartoon character stuff. I originally saw the firetruck version and was hard pressed to pick between the two. Finally landed on this one and have no regrets. It was easy to put together, less than 30 minutes easy. The design of the sides is unique and stands out. The shelves hold a surprising number of books and the little drawer at the bottom is useful for tucking away some of the overwhelming number of toys kids seem to have appear out of nowhere. The only minor drawback is that it isn't super stable. It's definitely not going to just fall to pieces or collapse under the weight of books or toys. But as it is lightweight(which I personally like) and not solid wood, there is bound to be a small sense of "am I going to break this if I knock it into something while moving it?" Only other thing to mention is the price. At first I was a little taken aback by the thought of spending that much for a small kids bookcase. But then I looked at other options out there. If it is cheaper it's not going to be as fun/unique or its going to be plastic. My priorities in what I was looking for made the price worth it. ... show more

I love this shelf, I got it for my son's "transportation" themed bedroom. It's exactly as pictured and super cute other than the fa t that I'm missing the top shelf. I tried to contact the seller to see if the could send the extra part but kept being connected with a bot. This is more stable than any other bookshelf I’ve owned. The screws on the side are clearly visible, but not too distracting from the design. It comes with a nice little strip to attach it to the wall. My only complaint is that the drawer is kind of hard to open and close

UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer and got the correct screws sent within a week and now have the shelf together and it’s beautiful! As long as the correct screws are sent this is a beautiful, sturdy bookshelf! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I wanted to love this bookshelf so much! You can tell it's well-made as far as the wood and the painting! Unfortunately, they sent the complete wrong screws. None of them fit in the holes--they are all too small and just slide right in without catching on anything! Also, literally no customer service. I called the number that was sent with the shelf and no answer, emailed the email address and it was "undeliverable." I will try finding the correct screws at Home Depot because it is a very cute shelf, but buyer beware! :( ... show more
