The selection and vibrancy of the colors were fantastic. The colors were bright and very holographic. The kit comes with a metal and plastic rat-tail comb and a metal loop/wood handle tool to help you put the tinsel into your hair. The kit also comes with a bag of brightly colored plastic loop hair bands, two ponytail flippers, and two sheets of hair decorations. One sheet is brightly colored rhinestones and the other is pearls. After watching a short video on how to install tinsel with a tool, I was able to easily it to a synthetic hair extension I had. I tried to put it into my own hair, but I struggled doing it on myself and it only lasted a few hours as I couldn't get it tightened correctly. I was using the slip knot technique for both installations. As a result, I don't feel I can give an accurate time of how long the tinsel lasts in the hair. Before installing the tinsel, check the tinsel color against your hair. I was going for a Barbie ponytail with light pink, but the tinsel reflected bluer in the synthetic ponytail than pink. I've added some photos I took after I installed the first few strands in the extension.

These tinsel strands were not the easiest to install in my baby fine hair. It's definitely a learning curve and very time-consuming, but I can't hold that against the product itself. Once installed, they were so fun! I love the variety of colors you get in this set as well. The color choices make this a kit that I can keep around and use for many different occasions and outfits.

This package is more impressive in person. The colors of the tinsel come as pretty, vibrant, and shiny as shown in the picture. The gems and other additions come just as advertised. The price for this kit is great considering how many different colors and gems you get. The tinsel should last you a while, especially if you are just putting a few through the hair.

The hair tinsel and gems work pretty well, and have a decent level of quality to them! They hold in the hair pretty well with only a little slippage, and the gems stay stuck enough, although a few did fall off throughout the night. Overall, good quality for the price!

I was pleasantly surprised by all the extras in this set. The hair gems have become a favorite of my daughters and the parting comb and topsy flip tools are so helpful. I wished it would have come with the beads to hold the tinsel as well but not a big deal since I had some left from tinsel I had before.

This was difficult to figure out how to use and then I had difficulty getting the tinsel to stay in the hair. The colors are really pretty and they look nice. Great for costumes, concerts, parties, or dress up days if you can figure out how to actually use it. Overall I'm middle of the road not a bad product but I had a hard time figuring it out.
