I have put these mugs in the dishwasher over a dozen times and the glaze on them has held up fine. They are also beautiful and even though my kitchen ensemble is mostly white, these mugs fit in perfectly. They aren’t the heaviest mugs, but they are very well made and would be good for someone who has issues holding heavier coffee mugs in their hands. These mugs may be medium-sized, but they are just what you need if you want coffee or tea, but don’t want too much. I loved the glaze on these mugs. It gives them versatility and toughness that helps them to stand up to being handled and placed in the dishwasher. Nobody has time to do dishes these days, so when I first got these, the dishwasher is the first place that they went. The hot temperature and steam did not hurt these mugs at all, and this is with cycles being run using Cascade Dishwashing detergent. Their glaze is still intact after many washes, which I found to be amazing because Cascade can be pretty harsh. These are excellent coffee mugs for coffee makers that don’t accommodate larger mugs. I have one and even though it makes wonderful coffee, there can be nothing more frustrating than this. I found that these mugs are the perfect answer for this. I haven’t put these mugs in the microwave, but I think they would be fine if I had to. They also are indeed scratch resistant, as they have gone into the dishwasher dozens of times with other items and their coating has survived. I give these mugs 5 stars. They may be medium-sized but they do their job well and unless you want a lot of coffee, that is all that matters in the end. These mugs are an excellent quality and are quite attractive. They have a lovely glaze finish which really adds to their nice touch. They are not too heavy but are a sturdy and durable quality and feel great when you hold them. I hand wash my dishes, including these mugs, with warm water, a sponge, and dish soap and have had no issues. They are a great size for coffee or tea. I wanted a new set of coffee mugs about this size so decided to give them a try. They are well made but the one thing I don't really like is the lip of the mug is uneven. I ordered these mugs in white and they are just beautiful. They have an organic, modern farmhouse aesthetic and feel sturdy and durable (I've already run them through the dishwasher without any incident). The glaze is just right (not too glossy, not matte either) and the dark rim detail adds a lovely rustic modern touch and visual interest. They feel great in your hand and have a very comfortable grip (I'm SUPER picky about this aspect). If I could change anything about them, I would make them so they have a slightly larger capacity, for those of us who like to make cappuccinos and lattes (the frothed milk requires a little more space than a regular coffee). But they are a standard American coffee cup size, so they're not undersized by any means. Also great for tea or hot chocolate. They are so beautiful and well made that I plan to use them daily, so it would be wonderful to have matching saucers. Love the blue color and the shape of these stoneware mugs. They're glossy in color but thick and durable. I like that they go with darker or lighter aesthetic kitchenwares and you can always add to your mug collection without fear of the colors/styles clashing. Just be as wild or neutral as you want.
